Bit of a contorversial opinion. Cancelo MOTM for the 2nd half performance only. Thought we played awful in the first half bar the 2 goals we scored.

Bella-Kotchap for Southampton (no. 37) the lad who got injured near the start.
Haaland only lost him twice- he hit the post and scored the other.
Their problem was that the 2 defenders concentrated on Haaland in the middle and that left room for Cancelo Foden and Mahrez.
Cancelo for us because the 3 at the back plus Rodri n Bernardo gave him the freedom to do what he does best.

Lots of 7-8 performances, but Cancelo was a 9 today. Steadied the nerves against a team we’ve struggled to dominate.
Have to give a very honorable mention to Bernardo AGAIN today. He was everywhere AGAIN, playing out of his natural position to help solidify the middle of the park, allowing us to open them up down the wings, which is how we completely dominated them. He has been a revelation this season.

3) Foden/KDB/Rodri
