Southampton Post Match Thread

We find a way to win , we didnt hoof it hoping for lucky break , although it was a tired performance as far a creativity goes and was looking to Gundogan to step up and prove his worth , he didnt. Sterling's goal was an absolute peach , and we thoroughly deserved the win despite being below par , looking forward to the "lucky city" media frenzy ,but we made our own luck , well done to the lads for keeping going to the end.

just for you Kaz....well we know where silva keeps his mobile phone ;p
What does it say around the dressing room?

Southampton were a fucking disgrace and the ref was a clown.

We looked a little lob sided at times but still was better than them.

Foster saved them from being 2-3 goals down more.

Peps reaction and the team at the end said it all, if you don't want to play football (like the saints tonight) then fuck off

This. Referee was a joke

With this momentum I am hoping we roll the hammers and hopefully Arsenal gets some similar momentum from their win today. Had to be one of the more demoralizing goals in Utd’s recent history, that!
It’s one of those moments. These players have obviously gone back in to the dressing room on cloud 9. The united players and fans will feel like they have been thumped in the guts. We definitely have an easier game on the weekend as well. Huge moment.

Excellent win tonight. We didn't play at our best tonight, but people saying we were lucky, jammy etc and saints deserved a point for heroic defending. We had 26 efforts on goal, 12 on target some teams don't have that over 3 or matches. We may jave left it late, but if not for Forster pulling off save after save we would have wrapped it up much earlier even though not at our best.

Get the fuck in. Then get the fuck in again. Raheem you are a fucking beauty!

Worst we've played all season and still come out with the win, huge fight in these lads. Massively missed Sane though and Gundogan is really struggling to influence games when he starts, the lack of Sane really exposed how much he's been carrying Delph down that side, without him it looked far too Clichy-esque and made it very easy for Southampton. Kompany as well, pretty horrendous, had that been Mangala his thread would add another 20 pages. We're really missing the injured players, Stones, Mendy and today Sane, without them we lose a lot. But Raheem is still here and he's a fucking champion!
