City boys we are here,sh*g your women and drink yo
6 games into the season and they are 11 points from safety as against 10 points on the opening day.
Could be a case of Premier league to Division 2 in about 6 seasons.
Serves the bastards right for pissing on our chips in the last game at Maine Road(both on and off the pitch).
Other teams that have gone from top league to bottom include Carlisle in the 70's and Swansea in the early 80's.
Can anybody clue me up on any other teams that have suffered the same 4 division predicament.

Not sad if these go down.

10 points isn't that much compared to Bornemouth and Rotheram last season, but if they do go down '96 will be fully avenged, as '83 was last season.

Good point, well made.

Northampton...many years ago?
Can't be bothered googling it, but I doubt that Northampton were ever in the top flight.

Sorry Jim,but it looks like Lionheart was right.
I just checked on Wiki and it appears that they went from the 4th to the 1st division in 4 successive years and then were relegated back down to the 4th division in another 4 years. They are unique in achieving this dubious record (during the 60's I think).
And we all thought that City were the only club to set all the crazy records(relegation the year after being champions, scoring more goals than conceding and still being relegated etc).

Pmsl.Jim,has anyone ever told you that you "are a really funny guy".
Although ,I hasten to add not funny in a Joe Pesci/Goodfellas type of funny.

Bradford, they went down with us and Coventry in 2000/01, of course we went straight back up, Coventry have struggled but stayed up and Bradford are now haggling along in Division 4/Division 3/League 2. Another team is Wimbledon, went down from The Championship, became MK Dons in between the 03/04 and 04/05 seaons, went down again, but are now back in League 1/Division 2
