There's one thing i'm certain of going in to this game, and that is that we are going to concede.

We are going to need to score 3 to win this in my opinion, just like any away game we play under Pellegrini.

come on brian don't be too blue - starting to pick up our form now and we need to be going into the home game against arsenal with straight wins under our belt.

clean sheet I reckon today 2-0 City

Feeling good about today again, just like before the WBA match. I really feel we are starting to motor, starting to purr along nicely and I predict a comfortable win today, 2 or 3-1.

Right been speaking to my dad, blue born in 1933. He's says all you moaning so and so's have been spoilt and
don't know you're born. He says can you imagine the shit he has had to endure over them years, apart from fleeting
years of absolute brilliance. You never get anything inbetween with City.

Back to topic 4 - 1 City. Just because we always concede away ;-)

This squad is capable of challenging for domestic honours this season and the players know it.

Its a matter of how badly they want to win things and how they mentally cope with the challenges that are thrown at them each week that will determine how well they do over the next 24 games.

Physically , talent wise , ability etc is not the issue , its the mental approach in reaction to situations and the inevitable mistakes and misfortune that will occur in games that will determine our fate.

Like Chelsea and Arsenal the blend of talent is their.

MP lacks the experience of Wenger and Jose in the premiership so they have that advantage over us but that's not the be all and end all of coming out on top over 38 games.

Don't care about the Munich game, good 3 points will give us a lot of confidence as well. Won't be on the matchday thread, have been off it since the opposition scores most of the time I post something on there (Last being Sunderland, have refrained after that).

Same tactics as against Spurs I had say.

Fancy us to win today, if we play our strongest team. Negredo and Aguero will terrorise their defence if they both start. The Munich game is irrelevant in the big scheme of thingsso the strongest team possible has to play today. Southampton have a lot of injuries so we should have plenty of chances, its just a matter of being clinical when we get them. It is a must-win really, don't want to be going into the Arsenal game 9 points behind (if they win tomorrow). If we stay 6 behind, beat them next week, we're 3 behind and Arsenal's next game after us is Chelsea so we have a great chance of going into the New Year within a win from top.

pants
zabba-kompany-demichelis-clichy
fernandinho-yaya
navas-aguero-nasri
negredo....just go for the jugular and beat them 2-0 win

Soton have pressed and left lots of space at the back in recent weeks, and opponents have gone long to expose this. If they do the same today, I expect Navas and Nasri to float into that space between the front two and the midfield.
