Fuck me, you've lost it big time. Judging by your username, you live close enough to God's own city to know that that is not how City work.

I know where you are coming from.....Chelsea dropping points yesterday I think has made this game even bigger....everyone assumed they were this runaway juggernaut.....
But for once, you can reel them back in ever so slightly....
(refer to Rocky II, where Rocky gets butchered for several rounds by the machine that is Apollo...but suddenly wins round 8...and belief spreads that he could do it (it may not have been round 8))...
I used to drink with a Mackem in the Plough in Heaton Moor many moons ago. Surely there aren't two of you?

Hmm..it would appear there is.......

Being a Sunderland fan, I take a simplistic view of football.
City beat Bayern, Bayern are better than Southampton....
City to win

I don't necessarily agree with the comments that Southampton are a mid-table side punching above their weight. There was a ton of media nonsense before the season began that because they'd lost the mercurial mastermind Lallana and Messi-killer Lambert that suddenly they were a bad team. Southampton are bloody good. They have an incredible academy churning out countless great young players, the likes of Ward-Prowse and Clyne will be England mainstays in the future, they made some good signings, and they brought in a manager who knows what it's like to win. Sure, I'm surprised that they're in second at this stage, but I always thought they'd do well. Since they arrived in the league they've shown nothing but improvement.

That said, this is a game that we are capable of winning and I hope that we will. I'm confident that Aguero will keep playing the way he does, and if one or two other lads can step up to anywhere near his level, we'll start dominating again. It's a shame that we'll probably not see Frank today as I've been hugely impressed with him, especially when compared to some of our other midfielders... And I also, in spite of the problems and hate for the 4-4-2 system, would mind seeing Jovetic too. Let's not forget he set Kun up the other night for the last two goals. I think the pair of them could form a decent partnership, and I think he'd actually be able use to some of his trickery today in what should be an open game.

I'll be hoping and praying we can get a good result, but my heart tells me we're looking at a draw at best today. And that's not even because we've been playing poorly, I just don't think many teams at all will go to Southampton and walk away with much this season.

We've had a couple of blessings this week. First roma conceding that last minute equaliser which we went on to take advantage of and now chelsea have dropped points. Let's take advantage and make it a very good week indeed. Come on city.
