Actually most thought he was a crap choice:-)
You can't ignore what he had done at Chelsea even if it was not all down to Potter partly his fault. The City lads maybe humble but the rest of the squad isn't and that was one of Potter's biggest downfalls in getting the seniors buying into his whole ethos. Just because he did a good job at Brighton doesn't mean he can get the best out of England's supposed talent. The next appointment doesn't have to be English.
10 years since he won a league title.
12 years since he won a national cup.
14 years since he won the CL.
Why not hire Van Gaal or bring back Capello? They were also good a few decades ago.
