A juvenile has been arrested on susp of murder and attempt murder.

They aren’t treating it as terrorism at this point.

It's pretty grim to see so many people on social media speculating about the attacker's ethnicity/religion/motives in order to push their own agendas, just hours after children have been brutally murdered. The facts will come out in time, until then spreading hearsay is not really helpful or respectful to the victims.

We don't know if it's terror related.

We don't know if the offender is an immigrant, legal or illegal.

All we know is 2 children have lost their lives and 6 more are in critical condition

If anyone’s spent any time in Southport, they’ll know it’s a dump of a town. Yes, a lot of migrants put up in the hotel on the high street, but equally, a lot of local homeless with serious drug and mental health problems.

The lack of public funding to work with those who suffer mentally, and instead roam the high street, is a huge issue.

Pointless talking about prison sentences here. Trust me, I’m someone who would bring back public hanging. I suspect this is a case which wouldn’t have happened with serious help available to those suffering with serious mental health problems.

I get people are angry-it’s beyond awful. I cannot imagine the scene but people wanting a head on a spike aren’t going to get it.
