SPACEX | NASA | Space Exploration | Other Space Ventures

First time they've got live film of re-entry and the plasma, looks to have been pretty successful, though they appear to have lost coms with it before it crashed into the Ocean.
Hopefully they learned a lot from this flight.. It was always going to crash into the sea

It's a bloody expensive hobby that's for sure

A bloody expensive write off... 33 engines on it...

Watching the Ship footage now as it's coasting towards Australia... Amazing stuff

Not really expensive per se. Every time a rocket in the history of rockets this has been the same. Only real exception is SpaceX. Even a full loss is probably far cheaper than a space shuttle launch.

I think they mentioned all the engines were 2nd+ use but they may have been talking about the dragon launches.

So while it’s more expensive at the start it’s far better going forward

It’s a learning curve… I’m sure they’ll crack it eventually

I hadn’t appreciated that the payroll bit at the top (non technical term!) can carry up to 100 people - that’s insane!
