I now expect Spain to thrash everything in their way
To be fair, I looked at that front 6 and said they'll pass teams to death but not many goals in it.
Spain were very impressive but Costa Rica were awful, we'll see how good Spain are versus Germany and Japan.
City scored 150 goals last season, the most in Europe. Did we have many goals in our forwards, Sterling, Jesus, Foden, Grealish and Mahrez?
Both defence and attack are much more than sums of defenders and attackers. Haaland and Alvarez are much better finishers than Jesus and Sterling, but it's not guaranteed we are going to score more goals and points this season.
I get that but our false strikers and attackers were still better goalscorers.
Busquets 2 goals in 140 caps.
Gavi scored just his 2nd career goal today.
Pedri averages 1 in 8, not scored for Spain.
Olmo is a 1 in 5 goalscorer. Just 5 goals for Spain.
Asensio is a 1 in 6 goalscorer. Just 2 goals for Spain.
Only Torres is a goalscorer. 1 in 5 for club but 1 in 2 for Spain.
Pre-match it really did look like all passes and no goals. They were all excellent today but we need to see them against better opposition.
