Well, nothing whatsoever wrong with England's defending. Shaw's having a good game over on his side, Kyle of course impeccable on this side. John is John. Several decisive interceptions. Guehi's looked good, too. In short, all good. Spain haven't been able to break through, and I don't see where it would come from from them.
The problem, of course, is in midfield. And up front, there's just no hold-up play. Every single time Pickford launches it upfield, the Spanish get it back at once. They win every aerial ball.
As from the beginning of the tournament, the Spanish look good in their approach play. But they've simply got nothing much of quality in the centre and up front.
This game is going to require a bit of absolute magic from someone, probably combined with a defender getting tired and switching off. Otherwise it's extra time.
