Phil was wank, but I don’t think it was particularly his fault. He may as well not be on the pitch as we were set up to never have the ball.

He made some good saves, but constantly gave the ball away by kicking it long to no one.

Always been a decent shot stopper. Not to be faulted on either goal. On distribution, he seems to be living in another age. Time and again, the ball went upfield to a red shirt, or actually out of play. As has often been said, we're completely spoilt by having a keeper with the skills of a midfielder, and a good one at that, and a second keeper who is actually not at all far behind him.

Linekar and Ferdinand now claiming the problem was not playing to Kane strengths. First I've heard this mentioned. Letting him off the hook for playing badly.

By his high standards, Phil had a meh tournament. Not helped by the clueless idiot we have in charge. I thought Walker was so-so tonight. Stones was City's best player out there, easily.

I thought Walker was poor. Foden was poor all tournament bar one half but Stones was excellent.
