Spanish FA President Luis Rubiales | Resigns (p 34)

That’s a weird photo, why is Morgan standing funny and why did they break into an empty office to take it?
They are doing that George Bush thing where they stand feet apart with arms slightly away from their sides to make themselves look more manly. Doesn't work because the camera angle is too high. As for the background, it must be a metaphor for the show's content.

I don’t get it… why it take hermoso so long to complain?!!! She had the kiss celebrated drank all night.. then press picked up on it now she’s filing for court… why didn’t she make a fuss on the podium/?

She complained about it the very same night. In a live feed of the celebrations in the dressing room she said she did not want it or enjoy it.

Rather than offer an apology. The RFEF responded to that by fabricating a statement on her behalf having failed to get her to retract her comments.

In response to that she confirmed two days later that she had referred the matter to her union and they were dealing with it on her behalf.

After further public statements from Rubiales seeking to discredit her, she released a further public statement where she said she couldn't say too much due to ongoing legal process but reiterated that she did not want or like the kiss. She also confirmed that she had not agreed the statement released by the RFEF and that both herself and her family had being pressurised.

Hermoso was then threatened with legal action. And as then as the weeks have gone on with us watching the guy double and triple down, essentially calling her a liar and painting himself to be some kind of victim, she escalated to the next level and filed a legal complaint.

She has been completely consistent and measured in her responses over the last few weeks. Every single escalation on her side has been proportionate to what she has had thrown at her. So to say she took a long time to complain about it simply isn't true.

And even if the above timeline wasn't correct, it isn't up to you or anyone else to dictate or question how and when someone on the receiving end of inappropriate behaviour reacts or processes it. Also kind of weird that you clearly haven't followed the story that closely but have opted to just question her motives anyway. Those kinds of attitudes are part of the reason why people like him think they're beyond reproach in the first place.

Be careful, idiots don’t like facts.

Perfectly stated Sir.
What an eloquent and succinct response to those who even in this century believe this to be acceptable. The “boys will be boys“ brigade are still alive and well, shameful.

Imagine if he'd just immediately apologised.

"I'm so sorry, I can see why it was inappropriate. I was caught up in the heat of the moment, I was so happy and emotional, and would have kissed whoever was there, be it a man or woman. I'd like to meet with the player, if they feel comfortable, to discuss the issue with me further so I can learn even more from this mistake."

It'd all be over now.

Perhaps he shouldn't have bothered going I suppose it was a free jolly to Auz. I have never paid into nor never will pay to see women playing football. I once watched City ladies play a Cup final in some competition and while glad they won can't remember anything of note about the game. But I suppose it makes money so they have to play the game. Harmless enough in the greater scheme of things but no way you will get away with something like that in the politically correct anti male world.

Yes the world is famously politically correct and anti male.
