I've read this thread with interest because I have an offence from 20 years ago. I was on my mates 18th, and was walking up the street between pubs drinking a pint. 2 young cops stopped me. I got a bit lippy and was nicked and charged with "Theft of pint glass, value of 50p". I got a £30 fine.
This has never bothered me, Ive never had a CRB check. So would this come up on one? and would this exclude me from working for Royal Mail or for social services or whoever?

Working with kids etc will need a detailed check that goes all the way back but if you're interview was for a bricky or driver etc then, if the offence was a long time ago, i'd not mention it.

It shouldn't show on a standard search , but it might well show on a more 'in depth' one , such as 'enhanced' ..... but either way that should be well 'spent' now.
