Split level advertising

I didn't notice them either but City lost over 1,000 seats in removing the first 3 rows. I reckon we have lost about £750,000 in match day revenue per season so what is the benefit? It must be in excess of that?
Media advertising revenue, companies will be fighting over those LED boards.

Those seats were the £300 a season ones, I know because my brother and my mate sat there a few seasons back, my mate (who was only intending to watch the big matches anyway) fucked it off after one match as the view was so bad. I sat in his seat for one match (Leicester the year they won it), it was that bad.

I assume we make more than an extra 900k+ a season from the new advertising boards, also they didn’t remove those seats in the Colin Bell so not sure it’s even 3000 seats

I did the stadium tour on the weekend with kids, was told we have permission to extend the other end (I know everyone knows that) but I didn’t know it’s because we want to host finals and the stadium has to be over 60k, the extension will make it 63k she said.

They look impressive on TV from that specific angle where everything aligns…. From my seat they look awful, a real eyesore and a distraction.

in the stadium they're an eyesore and proper distraction at times.
Unless they are aiming to capture business from the crowd then I'm sure that technology exists that will allow the club to show banners and adverts that are not visible to the naked eye (or at least don't impact on the match experience) but do appear on TV?

look horrific from inside the ground, makes the fans miles away from the action as well

gave me West Hams ground vibes

Also they don't even look good on tele from an angle, watched MOTD and the one behind the net when we were attacking was rubbish

Reckon they'll be gone in next 2 seasons, for some other smart idea

No chance the extention of the North Stand adds 10k seats, SS3 was only approx half of that.

They are aimed at everyone pal, whether there in the stadium or those watching on TV. I think they are worse in CL games when the brightness is increased to near dazzling. There's only so many times i can stand watching a cyber dog trotting round the boards and i find this a big distraction when the ball is on the wings.
