I never have a pop at the team but it has to be said that the team currently are phoning it in. Where is the fight? Where is the urgency in our play?

This isn't a one off, we've been like this for weeks, hopefully this is the kick up the arse that's needed.

This team needs a Fernandinho team meeting calling to sort it out but do we have a leader like that anymore?

Where is the captain material?

Team is very imbalanced.
Rico is great in the middle third and a good defender but he is playing on the edge of the opponents penalty area and in that area he is very poor and is literally getting in yhe way...then can't recover

Defence is wide open to counter because of above and also no defensive midfielder

Haalland is literally playing up against 2 or 3 defenders on his own....again no support from wide player's

Hope we are not banking on KDB....his cameo looked like he didn't want to be on the pitch. 3 poor passes in a few minutes is usually more than you get in 10 games from him.....he didn't look close to being fit

Season of change for us...think we need to get use to this for the season.

Can't win games without a dominant midfield. Said it multiple times Kova cannot play DM or CDM. It has to be Gundo as DM with Stones or Akanji next to him. But Pep seems adamant on playing Rico and giving him a free role to do f'all, which leaves gaps in midfield.

Firstly, the lack of goals from our wingers is hurting us. We tend to forget the contribution from Mahrez in big games. Neither of our young wingers look like scoring. If the Viking doesn't score we're in big trouble.

Secondly, we are suffering from a lack of pace. Bernie, Gundo and Kova have no recovery speed. Hence our midfield is easily cut open.

Thirdly, our Board has been obsessed with winning the net spend trophy. This obsession has finally caught up with us. If we want top players, the reality is we have to pay top dollar.

It's happened in most games since Ipswich.

If Stones has a serious problem with Planter fasciitis we may not be seeing him anytime soon. It’s debilitating and there’s no way to speed up recovery. Basically it’s a bastard injury.

We lost 4-1 today to a far inferior team. We had the chances first half to finish the game and then went completely absent 2nd half.

Nunes has been ok the last few games but in reality contributes little going forward and gave away a stupid penalty. Gvardiol managed to give away an even more stupid penalty. Haaland then misses a penalty. Ederson lets one in through his legs. A comedy of errors. Maybe just one of those games but seems a hint of a deeper malaise.

Bernardo off form and Lewis, while a tidy enough player, weakens us defensively but adds little going forward. Akanji looks unfit and Savinho does some nice stuff before wasting it. Foden was the only one to really play well throughout, though I though Kovacic was also decent first half.

Hard to see where we go from here but I think a bit of a rethink is required.

It could be virtually any player tonight but I thought Akanji was appalling. Having a kid playing his first ever CL game next to him and he hung him out to dry. He was to blame so many times charging into midfield and just leaving huge space behind him for them to attack. He really fucked me off tonight.

He is usually Mr reliable, miles off it tonight, tracking runners would help
