Sporting CP (A) - Post-Match Thread

In your "OPINION". But you know what they say about opinions? They're like arseholes. Everyone's got one. :-| \0/
Yes, but we probably are better than anyone at keeping squad harmony and players not causing problem. That's because Pep manages the squad and the young players better than most and better than anyone posting on bluemoon could.

I reckon we may see Zinchenko, Ake, Fernandinho, Palmer, Grealish and Jesus (injuries permitting) start the second leg mixed in with some of the starters from last night.

If we are in charge and extend our lead it is likely that Pep may through on a few of the youngsters at the 60 minute mark. I can’t see them starting though.

It's all about maintaining the balance between making sure the 1st team squad are match fit / not burnt out and giving some minutes to the youngsters to let them gain experience. He got it right with Foden, I trust Pep to get it right with the others.

Loved the game last night. Fair play to the sporting fans who were very loud towards the final whistle despite being 5 nil down. Respect to the players as well who walked around the ground at full time and applauded the fane. Wish we could see the same at the etihad. Unfortunately though, it's half empty at 80 mins (or half full if you're an optimist)

It may well be bigger but it is bloody shite.
Yes as a non driver I use it to travel to and from work. The advantage of wearing masks was it enabled me to walk around swearing and muttering under my breath at the system and many of its users. Public transport is not a pleasurable experience in this country.

Did anyone find any cheap bars which do food I'm hoping for somewhere to watch the football tonight

Great team performance even though we gave the ball away to easily. I wonder if that was because they were so poor? We tried to dribble more than we would usually.

Sterling is back to his best. Brilliant goal and his movement and positioning in the last three games has been top class.

Bernardo was the mom. He seems to love playing against Benfica and our rivals. Who could forget that he didn't clap the dippers when we gave them the guard of honour. His half volley technically was brilliant

Also special mention to Foden, Rodri and Dias who were superb
yes and you forgot John who had a very good game.
Stones that is, not Bernardo's dog
