I see we've moved on from tallest floodlights then.According to the City in house pre match programme Manchester has a bigger tram network than Lisbon, so Natalie Pike said anyway.

It may well be bigger but it is bloody shite.According to the City in house pre match programme Manchester has a bigger tram network than Lisbon, so Natalie Pike said anyway.
We can! :-|I am 76 in April and have watched our great team since the mid 1950's and I am steeped in "Typical City".
But come on even we can't screw this up.
I suspect they’ll get a chance in the next legI've just posted the same elsewhere. It's about balancing giving experience, & protecting our lead, which is why I'd say yes to bringing on Fern, Zin & maybe Gundog, but I reckon 2-3 could have been safely introduced over the last 15-30 minutes.
We also need to take into account that Sporting were making wholesale 'Go get some experience, & soak up the atmosphere lads' style changes in the latter stages too.
I kinda felt sorry for them. I don't think I've ever seen a more crestfallen bench in my life. It is what it is though, & I'll never forget some of the legendary, unlikely comebacks in football history. Safety first, & compassion later.
This is why you’re not a football manager though. When you’re in Pep’s position it’s not about sentiment or fantasy. He has to manage people. If I was Gundo and a kid got on before me, when I’d not been playing as much as I wanted, I’d be pissed.
Pep is managing a squad of elite professionals who are on a lot of money. He needs to manage their game time as best he can to keep harmony within the squad and make sure they don’t get fed up and want to leave.
That is far far more important than your ‘preference’ and ‘what it would mean to them’.

I wasn't 'having a go', I merely pointed out that I personally would have loved to see more of the kids introduced to soak up the atmosphere, but alongside Fern, Zin & possibly Gundog to adopt a safety first approach to those changes.
Pep is human. He's not God. He massively fucked up in the CL Final & again by fielding a strong team in the dead rubber against Leipsig, but there isn't another manager I wanted more for City, or who I wanted to be here more. HOWEVER, no one is beyond analysis or criticism, Pep included. My comment wasn't a criticism, it was just a personal opinion & preference.
That OK for you? \0/
I explained this in greater detail previously. Are you a football manager? If not, your "OPINION" is about as valid as mine.
Adie Mike tweeting that Mbappe deserved his goal and was the best player on the pitch. Thought we were playing at the same time?? Strange
In your "OPINION". But you know what they say about opinions? They're like arseholes. Everyone's got one. :-| \0/Thankfully mine lines up more with what the players and managers want though.
I bet some other ex City players weren’t watching our match either. Maybe not even the other match either. There’s some weird hot takes in this thread but that’s right up there lol.

Let‘s get their affiliation with the club annulled. Part time ex players.
I’ll do the same with Vinny. See you later.I’m giving David Silva 24 hours to respond before I personally burn his statue to ashes.
Yes, but we probably are better than anyone at keeping squad harmony and players not causing problem. That's because Pep manages the squad and the young players better than most and better than anyone posting on bluemoon could. In your "OPINION". But you know what they say about opinions? It's all about maintaining the balance between making sure the 1st team squad are match fit / not burnt out and giving some minutes to the youngsters to let them gain experience. He got it right with Foden, I trust Pep to get it right with the others.I reckon we may see Zinchenko, Ake, Fernandinho, Palmer, Grealish and Jesus (injuries permitting) start the second leg mixed in with some of the starters from last night.
If we are in charge and extend our lead it is likely that Pep may through on a few of the youngsters at the 60 minute mark. I can’t see them starting though.
Yes as a non driver I use it to travel to and from work. The advantage of wearing masks was it enabled me to walk around swearing and muttering under my breath at the system and many of its users. Public transport is not a pleasurable experience in this country. It may well be bigger but it is bloody shite.
yes and you forgot John who had a very good game.Great team performance even though we gave the ball away to easily. I wonder if that was because they were so poor? We tried to dribble more than we would usually.
Sterling is back to his best. Brilliant goal and his movement and positioning in the last three games has been top class.
Bernardo was the mom. He seems to love playing against Benfica and our rivals. Who could forget that he didn't clap the dippers when we gave them the guard of honour. His half volley technically was brilliant
Also special mention to Foden, Rodri and Dias who were superb
