SPOTY 2024

And so it descends into another slag off the BBC thread. If only things weren’t so predictable. I knew it would be tbf, my own fault for reading it I guess. First and last time. Just awaiting the first mention of Rolf or Jimmy. Or maybe Dave Lee Travis. Or maybe Philip Schofield. Oh hang on, that won’t wash, cos he was on ITV. But I think he was on BBC Saturday morning before that, so that’s ok.

About the nominations, I’m a bit torn on Cav. He’s already won it before, at his peak, and he did only win the one stage this year. On the other hand, I mean, it’s Cavendish, the most wins ffs :-)

It's bizarre that Sir Cav isn't picked.

Phil had a fantastic year

I don't follow RM so don't know what sort of season bellend had but he was shit at the Euros
And wasn't Bellingham whinging to the press a few weeks ago that he felt like the scapegoat for Engerlands failure to win the Euros...??.

Talk about narcissistic lack of self awareness.

Apparently she has just stopped the opening of a play about her and her moves. Said it could damage her reputation. The self awareness of some folk is impressive.
Yeah I saw that. It's bizarre. When I first saw her, I assumed she was one of those people who knew she was shit, but was having a go anyway, having a bit of a laugh after managing to wangle her way into the Olympics. Fair play to her. But Since her performance, she's emerged as a sort of po-faced character who wants everyone to believe she takes her craft really seriously and has absolutely no sense of humour about it. Literally the opposite of what she claimed to be doing with her dance.

Started on CBBC. They taught him everything he knows. Obviously went through their paedo initiation when he first joined.

The story of how her and her fella manipulated things to get her to the olympics would make a Tory blush. It’ll come out in the wash.

  • Littler - Not done enough yet for me, let's see if he is still up there a few years from now.
  • Bellingham - Think he must have added his own name to the list.
  • Root - A class act couldn't complain if he won it.
  • Yee - A niche event so probably hasn't got a cat in hell's chance
  • Storey - A remarkable athlete would be a deserved winner.
  • Hodgkinson - A very special talent and our main hope for future track medals, sure fire certainty to win.
