Won't a draw or better against Spurs settle it? We have the goal difference.

What more could you want? We knew we were going to lose to Everton, so were expecting to concede 3 points to Spurs. With less than 2 mins to go, we are only conceding 1 point to them.

I'd have settled for that.

I know but it is the fact that instead of conceding one point to them , we could have still conceded no points to them and sit conmfortably infront of them
 
This is a good result for us. Even if Spurs beat us on Tuesday they will be 3pts behind and we have superior goal difference.
