Spuds boss Harry reckons we are title challengers...

we have to aiming for 5th as a minimum, if the players we have got and likely to get can't catch Everton\Villa etc then Hughe's & Bowen have to go.
I want to basic things like wanting to stand up to see a cornor being delivered as we might be threatening from it. Likewise I dont want to be a nervous wreck at every set-piece in our half.

If we are the best of the rest and Chelsea sack another manager\ arsenal get a load of injuries\ dippers sell masch & alonso and relaise Stevie mee ain't all that withour someone to do the donkey work then we would be in a position to captialise on and strenghten in jan rather than fall away like Villa did last season.

Top six. Though if we won the FA cup, I'd be happy with top 8.

I like consistancy in the team, something solid to build from, haven't had anything like that for 30 years.

He isn't saying this without motivation. His motive is to put pressure on us and lower expectations at the Lane. Apart from the big 4, only Spurs worry me. Their league position in the last two years has been destroyed by two dreadful starts to the season. If they get off to a good start this time Spurs could be very competitive.

I feel we should be stronger than the likes of Villa and Everton, especially as they have the European distraction that we and Spurs don't. So top 6 for me is a minimum. Anything less would be a failure, but any of those top 6 positions is possible imo.

Top 6 and a great cup run would be an excellent season imo.

If twitchers blowing smoke up our arse then he's probably after one of our players. He's transparent and predictable.

Wenga has said it, now Redknapp! IMO Arsenal and Spurs are fairly close to the quality we are now (Arsenal arent quite as good as they used to be and Spurs are on the up back to what they were under Jol), therefore anything managers say that appear to be bigging us up is trying to put extra pressure on us to fulfil the complements and predictions we get!

Mind games people!

Bang on! just dint read yours first before i posted a similar thing! I think 4th place will be battled out between Arsenal, City and Spurs (providing we do sign some much needed defenders - of course it may come down to us not getting any, you never know, but i doubt it!)

Exactly. I feel we're being built up, for a massive fall. If we lose to Blackburn on the opening day, we are going to get hammered by the press, I can picture the headlines now "Money can't buy you love", "New team, same old City". Loads of people don't like what we're doing, and they are going to make it as difficult as possible, by use of the media, to raise fans expectations to dizzying heights, and put lots of pressure on the team and manager. I think Redknapp is one of these people. We can't let them win!

As for where we could finish, I think with the current team now, we can finish top 6. Top 4 is only possible unless we bring in 2 quality defenders, and the team gels very quickly. If we're in the top 6 in January, I can see us spending lots to make a late push for the top 4. Arsenal have quite a small squad. Halfway through the season they may have picked up injuries/suspendions, plus if they're distracted by Champions League or FA Cup, we might just strike while the iron is hot and go for it.
