I've tried the same by tweeting Virgin but they're not interested in offering refunds even though I mentioned that trainline were. Not their problem even though the good publicity would have been worthwhile.
Here's a thought. Given that Spurs knew that NFL games were being played at Wembley why didn't they ask for away games on those dates on the off chance that the stadium wouldn't have been ready. I mean it's not as if they fixtures are picked at random anymore. In fact Spurs should be made to play at our lace twice this season for being fuckwits
Easy one of the Golden clubsThe leeway these pricks are being given by the authorities is baffling.
I'm sure they will het 60k plus but worth noting that for SPurs v Fulham a fortight ago they got 58k at Wembley and I assume there were at least 4k Fulham there. As spurs can sell 20k more tickets surely City fans get in free now?

Can understand how it would open a real can of worms though. I had this three times in the second half of last season where I bought advance train tickets for games and they were moved. Always happens if you or your planned opponents are still in any cups from Jan onwards. They'd have everyone asking if they offered refunds. I've given up trying to plan too far ahead now. The onus should be on Spurs to cough up here really as it's entirely their fault.
Am I right in thinking though that you can change advance tickets anyway if you pay an extra tenner? I've definitely done that before.
Cos I’ve forked out train travel and the best they come up with is a free bus and back. The club didnt have to agree to the new date. I thought mcfc and virgin trains we’re partners and they still cant arrange us to get a refund.
They could of least arranged a later train like they did a few times 2 seasons ago post champions league games. Think it was called "City in the City" - It was about £50 return the league cup was on it, a few legends, free programmes, free goods including a phone charging block and we got express lane for Trams in Manchester. It left Manchester around half 10 and back in London half 12 - just do it the opposite way. Would be much quicker than buses...i cant remember if it was a dry train?
There’s no way of knowing for sure but it’s reasonable to assume that if the roles were reversed the FA would not be being as supportive of us if we were in Spurs predicament. Spurs have messed up big time and are inflicting problems far and wide which the FA seem to be actively assisting Spurs to sweep under the carpet.
i honestly cannot understand why spurs were not made to play on the sunday at arsenals ground (if its because of pride - well tough titty !! ) roughly the same capacity as the new spurs ground so everyone could get in who wanted to , and the same travelling distance ? i will have to take at least 2 half days off work !!!They could of least arranged a later train like they did a few times a few seasons ago post the champions league games. I wonder if its all that nice money they are paying the FA to hire out Wembley is smoothing over any huge fuck ups they have made which has led to disruption for various sets of fans?
I see your point but what about arsenal ? do they have a say in the matter ,why should they accommodate tott just because their arch enemy as ballsed it all up.i honestly cannot understand why spurs were not made to play on the sunday at arsenals ground (if its because of pride - well tough titty !! ) roughly the same capacity as the new spurs ground so everyone could get in who wanted to , and the same travelling distance ? i will have to take at least 2 half days off work !!!
The club are offering refunds for people who have purchased train and coach travel, where they are unable to claim a refund directly from the provider:

I have a feeling we (City hierarchy at the top) have our own plans for Etihad's expansion on the north stand side and we are only waiting to see when safe-standing goes ahead so we probably have two plans ready to go, one with safe-standing and one without (perhaps not too dissimilar to that of south stand) ... and City are just playing along nicely right now with the powers that be at Premier League and FA and other clubs so when and if our turn comes (although we'd never be this mismanaged under the current management and ownership) but just in case we need to run an expansion into the start of a season, we have these people on our side and not against us because in the larger scheme of things, agreeing to this one fixture here and now isn't much for City on the whole and also keeping in mind alternatives (of a fixture congestion at more crucial points in the season) ... so as Mourinho just recently quoted the German philosopher Hegel ... Truth is in the whole!
