Reminded me of us against Real Madrid in the semis
Not a bad shout, seemed that getting there was the achievement for most of the team.

I'm really curious to see how the next 12 months plays out for Kane. It's probably just the injury but Spurs are far better in my opinion without him on the pitch. He'll get his numbers over a full season but the team is way less dynamic. Starting him tonight while not fully fit was wild at the time and even more so in retrospect.

I won’t hide either , the ball fired at Sissoko and hit his shoulder , Yes his hand was in an unnatural position , for some reason pointing to a team mate . After that LFC stood back , parked the bus and could hit us on the break .
So disappointed Poch didn’t start with the players who did so well against you and Ajax .
Oh well it was a ride .
Now hopefully after the Portugal trip all our players can have a good summer rest and we go again next season , hopefully with a stronger squad having actually buying a few quality players

I don’t think it was a pen for that reason. He doesn’t move his hand to the ball. He’s clearly pointing to a team mate and the ball is booted against it. Lloris should’ve done better with the pen. Can’t say I wanted either team to win it and had you done so it would’ve been somewhat laughable given the fact you’ve lost to everyone bar Dortmund and have progressed last two rounds with away goals one of which was handball. But had you won it I’d have seen Liverpool suffer which would’ve been nice. Sophie's Choice really. The fact it was so poor a game helped as it busted the myth that Liverpool play great football.

Poch absolutely fucking bottled it by starting Kane. Just a shame he wasn't fit enough to play the second leg against us.
Spuds has a bottling history but not this time though. Clearly he is their best player and if he was close to full fitness the logical thing was to start him in such an important match. Unfair to Moura but that's just how it works in football. Dipperpool are a stronger team they were going to win 9/10 times anyway.

He’s nowhere near their best player. Best goal scorer, yes. Kane is rank average at the team game though, and Tottenham’s cohesion and fluidity in play is stifled in the bigger matches with him. It’s no coincidence they found their way to the final with Moura, Son, Eriksen and Llorente, then the twatbag in charge gives two of them that got them there a bit part for that big conk up front. I’d be fuming if I was Moura.

Poch showed by selecting Kane that he is not a top class manager It’s clear that Spurs are a better team without Kane unfortunately Poch was influenced by the Kane hype

my mate is a spurs fan, and I keep telling him spurs are a better team without him !. its odd because kane is a good striker but something at spurs seems wrong. Against us as soon as kane went of injured I was worried and text my mate saying so.....spurs went on and won. I think with kane spurs get drawn into playing it to a target man to much once he has gone they seem to play better football and Son becomes a better player. If I had scored a hattrick in the semi-finals and was than dropped for a striker who hadn't played for 5 or 6 weeks I would be straight into the managers office wanting a transfer.

Reminded me of Sven playing Beckham in the World Cup when he was nowhere near fit. Proved to be costly with that pathetic attempt at a tackle on Ronaldinho that lead to a goal.

Score a hatrick in a semi final and get dropped - great message, great management!

Son also looked far less effective with the more immobile, less industrious Kane by his side.

Well, fellas...I did promise that i wouldn’t hide if Spurs allowed Liverpool to win. So here I am to be shot at.

We had far more of the play but didn’t come close to making it count. Liverpool did very little beyond long balls. But it was enough, alas. A strangely tepid performance from Spurs made it enough.

Scant consolation but I was really surprised that there were as many Spurs inside the stadium as scousers. And we made far more noise. Hardly heard them at all until their second goal. Sadly, our team didn’t give us reason to outsing them even more. I can only offer my most heartfelt apologies to the footballing world for our collective failure to fulfill our solemn duty.
Fair play to you mate - I wish your players would have shown a shred of your bravery ;-)

Spurs results and performances without Kane at the tail end of last season was awful.
To say they play better without him just isn’t true - he’s the only one (bar Son) who can score for them.

What a bottle job by Poch. I wanted Tottenham to win but when I heard the team it was clear that they would lose. Why didn't he start Kane on the bench?

The decision diminished Son, Ali and Erikson. What a waste.

If kane was fit for the second leg against us I have no doubt we would got through! When kane plays spurs dont play as a team.

Disgraceful performance by Totteringham , completely bottled the game , the Dippers were well under par and there to be beaten and the irony of Spuds supporters moaning about a handball when they only got to the final because of a dodgy handball decision , you reap what you sow , Pochetino and his team let the whole nation down last night

If it was us playing and Sergio had been fit but Pep left him out and we lost then I imagine there would be a lot of criticism of Pep. If Poch had not played Kane and lost then he would be getting stick for that. I don't think he could leave Kane out but I'd have took him off after 50-60 mins.

Can't agree with that.......

He isn’t Sergio and will never be. We don’t play better without him, they do. Their play is so much more fluid without him in the team and they offer so much more going forward.

Their fans and the team knew it wasn’t the best decision and their performance was inhibited.

When you concede a stupid pen after what 30 secs or summat, the whether to play Kane debate goes out the window somewhat, wtf was Sissoko doing with his fcking arm. Anyway Poch won't be known as a top manager until he wins trophies.

Pochahontas is doing a very good job with the tools at his disposal. They're now established top four, which Arsenal used to celebrate like it was a trophy. Reaching a CL final is a great achievement as well. Maybe the chairman will give him some funds?
