Spurs 2018/19

Fair play Spurs. They overachieved getting to the final, so the result isn't surprising. If it had been against anybody else then that's probably the way everybody would look at it.
The really poor performance though doesn't help their cause. Conceding a penalty in the first minute seemed to rattle so much it was half an hour in before they could even pass the ball. Not sure they looked confident.

Harry Kane is just not fluid enough for the way Spurs play these days. Poch now has to make a big decision. Kane would be fantastic in a team playing 442 (like the Rags perhaps) I thought Spurs were the better team last night but had no cutting edge. To be fair both teams looked burned out after long seasons.

How the hell they beat us over two legs is beyond me. I'd have loved us to have got to Madrid and given the scousers a good hiding.
But would we have had enough left in the tank with a Chumps Cup run to have won the PL?

I think it was a blessing getting knocked out of the CL - we were awesome in the run in. Maybe next year just focus on the PL and the CL - and play a lesser squad in the domestic cups.

During the home league game against them in the season just finished in SS3 we had a resounding rendition of 'Have You Ever Seen Tottenham Win The League' with everyone standing. We then launched into 'Stand Up If You've Won Fuck All' and everyone sat down leaving the Spurs fans stood up. It would be great if we can do the same again but with a synchronised sit down.
