Along with City, Arsenal and the buswreckers this season.

"Straws" and "clutching" come to mind.

He's a football "journalist", not a Spurs fan.

And the point, as weak as it might be, is that Spurs (unlike "City, Arsenal and the bus wreckers") are still outside the top four even so.

Said it at beginning of the season that that stadium wouldn’t be finished this season and Levy in my mind new it!

According to the closest and most reliable itk, the intention was absolutely to play the first game at the new stadium against Liverpool. It was only when the wiring / safety cock up was discovered that Spurs had to change plans. Will have cost the club a pretty penny. Not to mention the bad PR. No way that Levy did it knowingly.

Must be fake news as JimB has reliably told us it would ready for our game.

Well, I got that wrong, obviously! My bad.

And with just a couple of showers this weekend the Wombley pitch will be pretty much a mud pool after the nfl game on Sunday.
Noticed pottychino was quite happy that if the pitch is ruined it will be to spuds advantage.
I would not be risking kdb in this game (would have refused to move fixture date as it is NOT due to tv contracts).
Bet pep has had em keeping the ball off the ground all the way up a tractor rutted farm track since tuesday. There will be no way to pass accurately over any more than a few feet on a pitch where the ball will bobble every 3 inches. Honestly not bothered about this game. If every player comes through it uninjured that is good enough for me (applies to both teams as I would never wish any player to be injured seriously). I would however be perfectly happy to see the ref and both linesmen trip on massive nfl divots and be unable to officiate for the rest of the season - all on a pitch they had passed as fit!
