Spurs (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

The ITV coverage pre match regarding our magnificent support , 9000 travelling 200 miles on a Friday evening. Not one image was shown or mentioned . Contrast the coverage for Sunderland v Newcastle Derby where the 6000 'magificent' Newcastle fans were highlighted several times ....travelling for all of 13 miles .
I said exactly the same to my mate, surely they should pan into the city fans and give them a pat on the back for coming down in the numbers on a Friday night.
If that was any of the red shirt cartel they'd have a half hour love in of how many have made the journey.
Not surprised.

Mate it's killing them. We have destroyed the lot of them. From Klopp all the way down to the journalists. Drink it in!

Ake was beaten for their equalizer in December and it was great that Ake scored the winner last night. Vital contribution to the season.

IF we manage to win at Spurs in the league, we'll more than make up for that draw.

I’m not sure if it’s been said yet, as I’ve only read about 10 of the 50 odd pages, but not only was that our first goal there (I know, I know), but that’s the first game this season in which they’ve failed to score! And, having only had 1 shot on target, that’s a good thing!!

Absolutely magnificent performance all around, with the exception of Gvardiol’s inside passing and Doku’s cameo.

Thought we were playing with fire a little when under the cosh in the second half, but for 70 of the 90 minutes we not only dominated, but moved the ball around extremely well.

Really happy to see the best invisible man in English football get the goal and MOTM, as he has been superb for us this season.

With the injured players starting to come back, it looks like we might be hitting our stride at the perfect time. Given there is going to be an almighty love fest for Klopp & the Dippers for the rest of the season, we really need to go on a run and not give them an inch. It’s already bad enough that teams roll over for them, whereas the play their Cup Final against us, but with Klopp added to the 115 Hate Campaign against us, it’s going to have to be a siege mentality until it’s done!
Ake is soooo underrated. Love him. Model professional. Just gets on with the job.

I have posted this in the spuds thread but I'm shocked that a modern stadium has such restricted views and nothing mention on the ticket.
State of the art new stadium bollocks is it

Had some empty seats near me, about half a dozen dotted around, but the fact you could wander to any level probably meant they had moved somewhere else so I assume you had no problems finding a better view.

Personally I liked the stadium, better than Wembley but I did wonder the point of 4 screens. Just needed 2, one in each opposite corner.

Two things I wish I’d caught on camera.

Just before the game the copper’s face in the concourse bar behind 421 as everyone joined in with song after song, he loved it.

And the female steward in block 423 joining in the Poznan. So funny.
Nothing like a good away day, where everyone’s out to enjoy themselves.

Probably good for the lady steward you didn’t catch her doing the Poznan, but a great memory!

Kudos to all that traveled!

Read a few match reports and how it was a dull game , but if Spuds had won it would have been the game of the season , we really are getting under the skin of the media , and with Pep stating he would like to sign an extension to his contract they will go into meltdown.Another five seasons of total domination will be unbearable for the haters.

It was a very much controlled performance by City, Spurs didn’t have a sniff or create anything all game. We went up a gear when KDB came on, once again he’s got goal involvement putting it into the mixer for Ake to poke into the net. Two difficult away games on the bounce to win it at the very end, what’s not to like?

No. We still have to win at Anfield with fans in the ground.
I'm lucky as I saw us win there in 1981-82 and 2002-03, but I've also seen a few draws and far too many defeats.
Probably me being stupid but I misunderstand your post!

Did we not have fans in the ground on the 2 occasions you mention?
