Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Hope the West Ham game isn’t as tense as the QPR decider in 2012.
Although I’d happily accept another 93:20 now.
Welcome back pal, hope all is well, good to see you posting again.

Indeed, had the drama, hopefully yesterday got any nerves out the system and we start the game strong and without fear.

I get why Spurs fans wanted us to beat them. I thought some of them singing bluemoon and stuff was funny. However, I do think they should have been a little more low key about it inside their stadium. Openly rooting against your team in your stadium is kinda awkward.
That's the gallows humour you get from years of being underachievers in the shadow of a neighbouring big club that plays in red. Can't think who that reminds me of...

I get annoyed when the team that is winning has to play another ten minutes when the team that was time wasting is losing.
That is one of the disadvantages of extended added time. Before this season it always seemed that refs would call time pretty quickly if the losing team had been wasting time

I thought it was embarrassing and I now understand Ange's frustration a bit, it's one thing to stay silent, it's another to cheer for the opposition, some of them were even doing the poznan after the first goal.

Nothing quite like a sleepless night for settling the old BP!! Still, better than the old days when the system was buggered up because we'd just lost a relegation decider!

What is easier, City top of the world fighting for titles and cups in big games or fighting relegation and promotion.
For me, in every single game City plays I want to win, losing is hard to take no matter what the prize is on offer

A team shouldn't gain a possible advantage through cheating. I would also be interested to see how many times keepers get away with handling the ball outside the area before releasing it.
It's no advantage though. They're just playing the same amount of time overall as they would if no time had been wasted.

Tense that.

A lot of off nights. Dias was abysmal and Akanji seems to constantly have that one fuck up in him.

Foden phenomenal and Doku was brilliant coming on.

Thought haaland’s hold up play tonight was fabulous.

1 to go, destiny awaits.

That header by Haaland to Foden in the build-up to the play that led to the pen was superb.

As for Dias, he's our second worst defender, behind Gomez. Third worst is miles ahead of him.

I’m back online!! Still in hospital but my sister in law brought me a charger!!
Hopefully out later if not tomorrow. They’re waiting for a report.
Did John Boy not play last night?
Did we play well?
Did I miss a great game?
Was the Match Day thread in turmoil?

Questions questions questions!!!
;-)
