Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

That was a big win. That was possibly our toughest game left of the season on paper and the last game (well, excluding Plymouth) where we'll have to deal with constant fixture congestion

Things should get smoother from here

Still waiting for a replay of the Doku offside. As many times as they don't put the flag up for City when defending, it seemed odd it was so quick.

By the end it looked like Haaland was dragging a bit. Big effort from him not at his best. 10 days to recover for Forrest.

So VAR looked at it and couldn’t find anything conclusive, so told the ref to stick with his original decision.
Yep. But seeing no handball was found then maybe that’s a good reason to say a clear and obvious error was found. Listen mate we won and that will do but there’s no way that gets ruled out down the other end.

Fuck off Var.
Fuck off Spurs.
Fuck off Ricky Villa.
Fuck off Garth Crooks.
Fuck off Steve Archibald.
Fuck off Ossies gonna do it again.
Fuck off Ange Ball.
Fuck off Alan Sugar.
Fuck off Adele.
Fuck off J.K. Rowling.
Fuck off you Lilywhites.
Fuck off for 1981.
Fuck off 1981..I was 10 and cried like fuck when they beat us.I hate Spurs.

Rode our luck at times, so did they to be fair, but that's kind of wiped out for me by that atrocious var decision at the end. Nearly, nearly cost us.

First half we looked like we had a lot more shape and coordination, second we panicked in parts as we have done so much this season, booting it anywhere. Thankfully Bernie helped us calm down, thought it was interesting that pep took off Nico for Bernie and shifted the line forward and it worked for us.

Khusanov is just what we needed. Fast, tough, and surprisingly I'm staring yo see a bit of a footballing brain there where he steamed in like a locomotive, and then played it out when others like Kovacic and Road were hoofing it.

Another win that is papering over the cracks. Said it before. We only win games now due to lack of poor finishing from the opposition or we catch a team not at the races.
Poor finishing from the opposition?

What about ours, could have been out of sight, 2 goal cushion at least first half.

Got to remember that this is our level now. We are not the team from 1/2 seasons ago. Plus a very young first 11 with not much experience playing together so I think expectations may need to be adjusted a little with a sprinkling of patience. 2nd youngest team ever in Pl apparently.
They could do with an experienced midfielder coming in next season. Perhaps someone who has won everything and is current holder of the Ballon d'or.

Our 2nd youngest? surely not the PL 2nd youngest..The mean age of our team tonight was 24.7
