Possibly. But against the shittiest spurs side ever and without Son for most of the match and HK no more.Probably our best league performance at Spurs in the 2020’s.

Energy was great in the first half, ran out of steam badly in the 2ndI said in the pre-match that this is our best starting 11 right now. It is. Young, refreshed, full of energy, balanced. This is the way to go, this is the future
VAR: I can't see a handball at all ref.The pictures were inconclusive. When that happens, they stick with the on field call.
The problem was the referee, not VAR.
The emotive “it would have been given against us” angle is pointless and just there to inflame the rhetoric.
I think Khusonov is a big positive. He looks the business.Alternatively you could take the positives from it. Unlikely to get many perfect 90 mins this season but signs of improvement is enough
Five seconds, we could have scored five in that amount of time. Time how long it takes to put a whistle in your mouth, even allowing for thinking time.
Yeah, admittedly, we should have done more subs earlier, so I agree, but I think we have something we can work on, finally. Some foundation for the future.Energy was great in the first half, ran out of steam badly in the 2nd
It's the same nonsense you see in every other sport.I understand it only gets disallowed because the absolute buffoon gives it as the on-field decision, but when VAR then gives the **** the benefit of x-ray vision you know the game has completely gone.
So it’s not clear and obvious what he saw, heard or was instructed by VAR who didn’t see anything wrong with the goal so stick with your original decision whatever that was if you can even remember, say that again……fuck it it’s city no goalYet they can overturn a blatant penalty awarded to Everton even though there was no clear and obvious error.
It's a complete farce.
That first half was as good as we've played all season and had we finished our chances we'd have been justifiably 4-0 up. If you think that's rubbish then I can't imagine how youve been feeling this winter. Not interested in all that. Just stating the truth. We were rubbish. When we are good I say so.
Sounds you are not far away mate…Forget the thread

Throw in the Arsenal and Chelsea results and it's 9/15 - the same return as if we'd beaten Chelsea and Newcastle and drawn with Liverpool, Arsenal (A), and Spurs (A). I know most of the performances haven't been good enough, but getting through this really tough stretch of games with that record would be decent during most of our title-winning seasons.Great result, well done Pep, 6/9 pts against Newcastle, Liverpool and Spurs. Not bad at all considering.

Way too much deference is given to the original ref decision.
It's absolutely ridiculous given how many screw-ups refs make in real time.
Here's how it should work: once a VAR check is initiated, the original call on the pitch should be COMPLETELY disregarded, and VAR team should use their 69 different camera angles to determine what the most likely correct call is, and go with that.
It shouldn't be rocket surgery but of course the powers that be have to overcomplicate everything.
Corners are no advantage to us unless they are played short. Amazed Pep never worked that one out?We need to win a few more headers from set pieces.
