He wasn’t. I was sat almost level with where he ran from. Awful bent decision.Var shouldve given a handball pen against spurs.
Also still want a replay of that doku offsides

Okay Gundogs dad, my mistakeCome on, mate. The way he glided onto the pitch was majestic. He even took the “Make sure you’re switched on” speech from Ruben well.
An exquisite cameo.
9.5.
So why doesn't var correct the call by confirming Haaland does not handle the ball?It wasn’t a VAR decision, the ref gave handball!
You’ve obviously not seen the scriptAll VAR had to do was, see if Haaland had handballed > answer NO
Goal should have been given with the advantage rule given to Haaland because both Spurs play handballed= simple
Sorry, but I don't believe it hit Erling's arm. It came off Gray's shoulder and Haaland's arm was behind him. Then it came off Danso's hands. The only clear picture was the space between Danso's hand and Erling. For me it was clear that it wasn't handball by Erling.I think all 3 of them handball it accidentally but the rules are that if you score directly from an accidental handball it is ruled out.
That’s wrong he blew the whistle and disallowed the goal.Great post and shows why VAR is fucked as it is. That was a perfect situation where VAR could be awesome. The ref gives the goal and then asks VAR is there any reason why it isn't (a la rugby league). A VAR system like that becomes a tool for the refs to make better decisions
Who are you listening to mate? The only person I have to hear during the match is my wife and that is not by choice. How on Earth are pundits still saying Khusanov isn’t doing brilliant at City? Been brilliant since he came in but one mistake a month ago means he’s not settled in still despite being one of our best players since.
Var should of said look at the goal on the screenthat was the ref’s fault… how can he bloody see a handball in that?
That’s sent up as a disallowed goal so VAR has to find conclusive evidence that there was no handball, which there wasn’t any.
The ref should not have disallowed the goal, then VAR just has to find conclusive evidence that there was a handball, which there wasn’t so the goal would have stood.
Nowadays journalism is dying. Articles are written by AI and the wording were checked by a who knows with another two salesman wrapping up the website.Just seen the player ratings in MailOnline…
Ederson 7; Nunes 6, Khusanov 6.5, Dias 7, Gvardiol 6.5; Kovacic 7 (Gundogan 90+4), Gonzalez 6.5 (Silva 74, 6); Savinho 7, Marmoush 6 (Foden 74, 6), Doku 8.5 (Grealish 90+3); Haaland 7.5.
(My bold)
What game was that journo watching?! Hilarious. Khusanov was at least an 8, Nunes not far behind, Sav was about a 5 at most. It’s like they just make them up.
But in the first half in particular, we were much quicker than the super slow sideways passing of this season. It felt and looked much quicker any rate. Thought Gonzales looks a good player and thinking ahead, looking forward to seeing Rodri behind him.We look so much better using youth.
Not back to anywhere near our best, but we’re more resilient and created more chances.
Interesting that Gonzalez was used as an 8 and Kovacic the 6.
Doku played really well, Savinho had one.
He blew his whistle for sure. He didn't point (to the goal or the HW line) so how do you know he disallowed the goal? I genuinely believe he didn't know what he saw. Maybe he told the VAR he thought it was a Haaland handball, am sure the audio will clear it up if so.That’s wrong he blew the whistle and disallowed the goal.
WeirdoNot interested in all that. Just stating the truth. We were rubbish. When we are good I say so.
We look a really unfit side, have done for ages. Even the ones who haven't played lots looked fucked in that 2nd halfBut in the first half in particular, we were much quicker than the super slow sideways passing of this season. It felt and looked much quicker any rate. Thought Gonzales looks a good player and thinking ahead, looking forward to seeing Rodri behind him.
No idea why in the second half, we were so, I can’t even say lethargic because in the main young fit men out there, the oldest being Kovacic at 30, but we allowed Spurs to come at us and then we began to get overrun by them at one point and but for a bit of luck they didn’t get an equaliser. This after we should have been 0-3 up at half time. Overall though, pleased with the win, everyone knows it should have been 0-2 to us, why the ref chose to disallow the goal only he knows and it’s a good job it didn’t affect the outcome. Still, I hate VAR because it’s ruined the game.
And considering our tough run of fixturesWe're second in the form table over the last 6 games.
Not bad considering how many people on this forum scream about our players being wank and Pep being past it.
