Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Massive win and result, probably should have won by more but they could have nicked a draw with some of their chances too.

I like savinho but some of his decisions are poor at times, he’s only young though and will only get better. Khusanov looked excellent again though and Nico was steady too.

Hopefully we can go on a run now and keep players fresh and fit now we have no more mid week games. Forest won’t be easy but we can definitely win there.

I couldn’t watch the game tonight but just seen the highlights on MoTD.

Very interesting VAR decision for Haalands second goal “no conclusive evidence that it was NOT handball” therefore it is handball. What kind of f….d up logic is that ?

Anyway, well done boys, three important points.
Completely agree it’s farcical at this point, there was no conclusive evidence to prove it definitely was or wasn’t handball so surely then it’s not handball?!

I have no idea how the ref could have definitively made the call it was when a guy sat with a thousand replays and camera angles couldn’t?

Certain players are definitely improving performance wise big shout out to nunes I thought he was excellent. And khusanov looks a beast.Once saviniho learns how to shoot he will be class.2 clean sheets in last 3 prem games and khusanov recovery pace is really helping he seems to snuff out most things. All in all happy with what could be a massive 3pts well done city.

tnt must of won the show everything apart from the f'ing game award tonight amazing

Savinho is a left winger, played there his whole (short) career, its gonna take a while to learn the right position, it feels like it involves a lot more decisions from him than he naturally takes on the left.

Its laughably, guilty because they couldn't prove it neither innocent or guilty....

But it's not even that is it. To my eyes it wasn't handball, in fact, it was either a pen or a goal. Rarely seen a decision so backwards.

Here’s a wild idea :0)
Savinho on the left wing
Doku on the right wing
Less cutting back to make a cross !!
Leading to less organised defences???
More crosses to the Big Man!!
More goals scored ??
More matches won !!!
Less stress on our defence??

Just a wild idea??? :0)

Here’s an even crazier idea…how about we have them switch a couple of times?!

Also like to mention, Pep had his best game in a while, good selection, set up and picked the right subs and most importantly earlier than usual, also animated like he used to be.
Loved his shithousery near the end when he twice let the ball roll through his legs to waste time and the way he threw it at Gvardiol giving him an excuse to drop it and waste a few more seconds

think they're saying that the ref called handball straight away? then the var couldn't conclusively say he was wrong so the onfield decision stood.

suspect the spurs handball was deemed accidental.

but it certainly felt like, its city find a reason to rule it out.

So, help me out here…

Supposedly, THE REF gives a handball ON HAALAND in the build up to the goal. VAR does NOT overturn his decision because there is no “clear and obvious” evidence it didn’t hit his arm (even though NO-ONE SAW IT DO SO!!).

However, what WAS both CLEAR & OBVIOUS was the FACT that BOTH SPURS PLAYERS HANDLED THE BALL during the play.

Ergo, even if you “agree” (which is really more of an “I can’t disagree”) with the Refs decision that Haaland ultimately handled the ball, surely it’s a penalty for defensive handball, with both happening before Haaland “didn’t” handle the ball!

Took away a perfectly good goal and, while it might have “helped” Haaland lose the Golden Boot, it could well have cost us 2 pts at the very end of the game!

I’d have probably taken a draw beforehand, but after squandering so many chances in the first 30 mins, I was pissed off it was even a contest in the second half, let alone almost giving away points in the 99th minute!

3 points. Moving on…
