Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

So why is Pep allowing it to happen ? Pep of old would be smashing the dressing room up and giving the players the hairdryer, Pep is in the final stages of his days at Manchester City and the players have given up

I think it's coming this week ? Pep is to leave in the summer
Well something is afoot. Pep Lijnders isn't taking the press conferences for no good reason. But it won't be he who manages City if Pep goes at the end of the season. Pep Lijnders has managed one team a few seasons ago and it didn't turn out well. He found it very difficult to handle all aspects of management. He's a superb coach and tactician and he is employed as such alongside Pep Guardiola.

Was there a VAR image of the off-side shout for their first goal?
Looked like it was in real time and in the one quick replay shown,
but i can't recall a VAR image with the lines being drawn or even one of those soppy cartoon things.
Perhaps i missed it.

Ait nouri played him on I thought but it was quickly glossed over as usual

Cherki is an enigma. Sets to deceive. Hence why he is getting bollocked off Pep. He really needs to up his work rate. Very flat performances throughout the team.
An enigma that had us actually getting passes in the final third just for Haaland or Semenyo to screw up? Cherki was fantastic today, the only one that wanted to play a game of football

Even when we are winning it’s a difficult watch.
If Spurs decide to park the bus at home, what do you want City to do?

The game was disappointing because we lost control after a goal that should never have stood. On the slow motion you can see Guehi gets his leg there first and Solanke kicks through it. That is a foul.

when did the rules ever say it is perfectly OK to score a goal by kicking someone else’s foot so that their foot hits the ball and goes in the net.

After the first half it felt good, a little annoyed that we where sloppy in our passing and threw away some good chances to score.
But I thought okay where better and they will shape upp, But WTF!!! Idont know what to really say about this second half,
I can't understand how we could turn so bad Spurs is really shit and they showed nothing in the first half NOTHING!!

Okej we have injuries but so has Spurs!
we played champions this week but so did spurs is tiredness that a reason that the second half was shit? Is the squad to small? I'm trying to find a reason to this shithole of a secondhalf preformance.

Before kick off we’d probably all have taken a draw at a ground we have historically struggled at. But after being 2-0 up against a team who looked beaten at half time then allowing them to pull it level you have to question the players mentality and the managers tactics.
Spurs made one change at half time, they even took their Captain off and swapped to a 4-4-2 and we looked completely lost. How are we not able to deal with a simple change? Our game management is non existent.
The result is not a problem, being 2-0 against a side who’s manager is about to be sacked and managing to fuck it all up and only take a point is the issue. It’s unacceptable.

Should have tore in to them at half time. Even winning, that first half was not acceptable. We needed urgency and energy. Instead he probaly said he was so so happy but we needed to slow it down and pass more.

It crazy watching City play this season ? Premier League games are like walking dead dont give a fuck
But the Cup games and Champions League games are so different, talk about jekyll and hyde team

I think it’s as clear as anything that it’s time to move on from Pep. Who we move on to though is another question entirely. But this just isn’t working any more. There’s an apathy about the whole setup, we’re just going through the motions and then blaming the officials instead of looking at ourselves. Even the players that lived through our peak years look resigned and powerless. It’s done.
