Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

We’re a good team. We’ve been accustomed to brilliance.
The Centurions would quite happily and easily put ten past Spurs today.
But we’re not at that level now.
We’ll win most games; draw a few, lose a few.
We had a generational team that’s no longer there. That’s fitba.

I truly believe there will be life after Pep ? Manchester City are bigger than any manager
Will the new manager succeed? That will be down to us and the players,

I would love to see Mancini given another go with this squad of players
Fucking fuck me. What planet are you living on?

Absolutely atrocious. All been said already. Lost it in the first half. Neville said it right. It was like watching Soccer Aid. Why oh why didn’t we just go for the throat and put 4/5/6 past these and then relax. Not one bit of urgency in the whole team. Could have easily got beat there. That was a bad one.

O Reilly not good enough in the midfield. Somenja had a shocker apart from the goal, How Foden can’t get in this team is beyond me. Brings him on with 5?mins to go.
Just fuck off
O Reilly embodies just how far the standards have dropped without some realising it.

He’s just nowhere near the level, but it’s kind of become acceptable because he’s a nice young lad, and there’s actually a lot worse than him.

An enigma that had us actually getting passes in the final third just for Haaland or Semenyo to screw up? Cherki was fantastic today, the only one that wanted to play a game of football
I said a couple of weeks ago it looks like Pep is hell bent on taking Cherki’s flair down a peg it two. He just didn’t seem to be able to play to players strengths.

City's fanbase is now really soft and entitled. That's what bothers me more than anything else.

It was very disappointing not to win but 2-2 at Spurs is not a disaster. The game went against us and yes we should have done better but the Football Gods were also loaded against us.
If it was just today then you'd have a point.

However that's Sunderland, United, Bodo and Tottenham, and whilst Newcastle was a good result we also rode our luck.

Not good enough, and even with everyone fit we're too lopsided, unbalanced, peripheral, one footed and weak.

He was a worldly save away from scoring a brace. He also dictates play well, draws in the opposition and moves them around. Plenty of learning to do but he is delivering goals and assists week after week. There are far more deserving candidates for scrutiny IMHO. Starting with the big lad up front.
Don't disagree with any of that

BUT cherki is as bad as the rest in fucking up our attacks and possession as well

I agree he is also our best creator BUT he needs to check his head and be serious
..look at what Pep said about Messi the other week...never did anything needless...this is what Cherki needs to cut out of his game...him losing possession in that moment led to a spurs attack....this causes a shift in momentum that doesn't help

Yes there are bigger issues but this is also an issue that needs looking at

Kinel we couldn’t be making it more easy for arse cunts
At this rate they will be able to rest in the league to concentrate on champions league add to that this time next week the rags could be up are arses

Arsenal will beat us easy in the final regardless unless we get our act together big time
Thing is Arsenal will have to rotate at some point and will have to decide whether win a domestic trophy or go for that Holy Grail League title. They aren't that good.

Because the player prefers safe passes instad of taking risks and making long passes. The players don't fear the coach, they don't want to take responsibility, and they prefer accurate sideway passes even if the result is negative.

I disagree i think the players are scared of taking risks due to Pep. First half of alot of games have been more free flowing. Second have Pep seems to scared the shit out of them make mistakes.

It’s literally been in the rules forever, I’m not sure how people don’t know that.

It should have been a retaken corner.
I didn't see one replay of the point the corner was taken to the foul happening.
Guess we will just have to take their word even though it seemed like only a second from the ball coming into camera shot and Haaland being on the floor.

Result is irrelevant...its the performances that are the issue ..even if we had won it the issues are still there and we're in the first half as well after about 25 mins in
