We don’t play with intensity we play with control and possession which we did great first half scored two goals! The big problem is second half performances when teams change tact play man on man push up tight in doing that pressure it to make mistakes then in the final third opposition team play with that speed and intensity which panics our defence into mistakes!

Pep will see as he has said post press Conferences we did a lot of good things players in the right places. Only thing he did say we should shoot when we have the chance too!

If it’s any consolation (which it won’t be), twas an absolutely brilliant afternoon at the Etihad today (even with the empty seats …) which saw our women smash Chelsea to open up a 12 point lead over them and 11 points over united.

Really hope we can get that long overdue title heading our way this season :-)

Thanks for that. I was very happy leaving the Etihad today but public transport and streaming the second half of the men's team put a slight dampener on the day.

It was very disappointing not to win but 2-2 at Spurs is not a disaster. The game went against us and yes we should have done better but the Football Gods were also loaded against us.

That’s the worst 11 Spurs have ever put out in the Premier League era. Any top 10 side would have put 5/6 past them.

They were there for a taking and we decided to pass the ball sideways.

The simple truth with this is its a foul but as per forever the ref doesn't give it because every corner thereafter they will get grief for not giving a penalty for a grapple, a shirt pull, obstruction etc.. Always been the case. Fouls given outside the box are not always given inside the box.
It was being discussed back in the 80's and always will. I wouldn't be putting Haaland on the goal line tbh.

It's the kind of decision that goes in your favour when things are going for you. We got one at the Swamp a few seasons ago - Hoijlund on Rodri IIRC.

problem is the middle, we lose the ball and are slow to get behind the ball, we never win 50/50 and if im honest look like some jump out of tackles, midfield aren't creating or helping in defence, cant blame any of the defenders or gigi.

We have to be honest here.

Pep’s style isn’t working anymore. We are very predictable and we can only thrive when the tempo is slow and we are in control.

For me, he’s run his course and we need a change. He isn’t going to change. So the club has to.

We probably will see him go . Hopefully if he's up to it he will stay untll the end of the season. But if he's not he may well decide to go early which might cause some chaos. We would have to have someone ready surely.
Lijnders can only be a temporary coach. He will not be able for full time management of this club. Managing a club was difficult for him back in 2018 at Nijmegen in the Dutch league . He found that being the head coach is not just about tactics, training, but also about handling pressure, communicating with everyone around the club, handling the micro aspects of management ,keeping unity etc when results go awry . He has said openly that it was a big learning curve even though it was something he always wanted to try.
