Some

good points raised, however, 2-0 up and cruising to holding on to a point is not good enough.
Haaland seems to be a passenger these days but it’s not just his fault. I can’t put my finger on it but something is seriously wrong at the club. Yes decisions aren’t going our way but I’m not sure Pep’s heart is in it. We should have been throwing the kitchen sink at them after they equalised instead of nothing. We can’t make injuries an excuse today. We are lacking spark, some creativity in the team, Cherki can’t do it on his own.
Please find us a David Silva, KDB or a Yaya, someone who can deliver on the pitch

I know it’s not good enough, we’re Man City, but the number of injuries and players out of form is unsustainable. I’m starting to think the Semenyo signing was a mistake. Not because I don’t rate him, but he unbalances the attack alongside Haaland, who is limited himself. We need a shadow striker like João Felix or Alvarez to combine with Cherki and properly release Haaland. There are no more KDBs around these days

What that you are allowed to foul someone as much as want before a ball is kicked and totally take them out of game so they are out of position by the time the ball is kicked?
Have a day off.

Yes! You get a yellow card or a red card if it’s warranted but if the ball isn’t in play then there’s no different way of putting it back into play, it’s not a foul.

It’s literally the first line of the laws on fouls and misconduct.

I haven’t watched it back yet to see if they were right to say it wasn’t in play.

Totally agree the amount of players out of form is scary.
Although, sat now on the train just looking at Spurs first goal, really how was that not given as a foul. If disallowed then it would be a better journey home.
Onwards & upwards

Weirdly I feel exactly the same

My seat is only £450 for the season but I'm wondering whether I'd enjoy the Saturday golf comps more.....

Feels like I was stood at the Attaturk witnessing the end.... It doesn't get much better than that (especially after my Porto weekend was ruined)
Ha ha ha . Enjoy the golf

I find it incredible that we're still second and have been looking down not up since the New Year. The players are finding it difficult to match the expectations of the club and technically we are not as good and lack control. We need to start playing to our strengths and invite a more transitional game and accept that Reijnders and Ait Nouri are not at the level required. I can accept not winning anything but want entertainment.

Weird take but as shit as we've been we're still somehow only 6 points off with 42 still to be had.

That said we need to figure something out that changes our trajectory because the only reason we're only 6 pts off is because Arse have only managed 2 more points than us in the last 5.
If we were at full strength then I think we’d push arsenal to the end. We’ve been a little bit unlucky with injuries and decisions but that can happen. I’m still not convinced we have enough to win it even 6 points off. If the Arsenal don’t win it this year it’ll be a total embarrassment. We need our wingers and centre halves back to mix up the play. Semeyno and marmoush need to play through the middle. Just hope the 2 redshirts don’t catch us.

2 up is more than enough to put games to bed. We shouldn’t need 3/4/5 goals to win a game confidently.

The team is fragile. So many bad performances.

Change is inevitable.

I wish pep could continue forever and city win playing brilliant football. However, it’s not realistic in sport. The team is as poor now as before pep got here.

We all love Pep, our vows are to death do us part, and they are set in stone.
But I do feel his pain and have done for a long time, there is nothing better than that cheeky smile after sticking one right up the officials when he tried his best to cheat us out of a win.

But for me, it could be time to say our goodbyes before it gets any worse and slightly darkens the water
What we fans need is clarity and are you in it for another 3 to 5 years with this bunch of players or is it your last season,

I can understand both and can understand the players' reasons for our poor form in the league ?
Yes, we are not in any sort of shape to win the title and our best chances are in the cups and we can understand that

But is it a rebuild for somebody else or do you still fancy another 3 to 5 years to see us become another multi-title winning teams

Semenyo is a good finisher but his general game is quite poor. He also looks overweight and unfit

Disgraceful but not surprising - how many times this season have the opposition made 2 or 3 substitutions and we haven’t reacted and thrown it away in 2nd half ? Pep must go at the end of the season he’s allowed this team to go stale - Haaland without KDB has been sussed out - he offers nothing when he isn’t scoring and seriously would consider selling for 150 million and give the new manager the cash to strengthen and rebuild. I’m sure this isn’t a popular opinion but this is football at the highest level and standing still or going backwards is simply not acceptable.

Has he helped crushed Phils confidence in the same way he now highlights Cherkis failings whilst Haaland gets a free pass.
Semenyo, Guehi were sold the Pep is a genius pitch when several recent second halfs suggest he is not.
He has proved me totally wrong but recent gutless efforts v spuds/rags are a new level of poor.

Still only 6 points in it and they are supposedly to be better than us. Not convinced they are good enough on all fronts. The league isn't that strong to be honest and everyone is capable of beating each other on any occasion. They will still have to priortise.
They won all 8 CL games. They rotated midweek then won again at Leeds comfortably. They're not as good a side as our best under Pep but they're miles more consistent than anyone else when it comes to winning games.

They can rotate their squad and still get a good level of performance. If we get 3pts next weekend it's a fucking miracle. So they'll be able to rest in the league soon and focus on the other pots.

There's only 6 points between us and the rags as well..

So at a throw in push the defender to the floor then your team mate throws the ball in play and they wouldn't give a foul not a chance

In general we played a good game....
Look back at what happened when Taggart first said he was leaving. They did exactly the same and he ended up staying to try and fix it and there was less notice when he finally left.

Or just over 10 years ago, to the point where Pellegrini forced the hand by announcing it himself, but that was a team that couldn't be bothered either.

If you know he's going in summer, are you going to take his side if he has a go at your mate who will be here next season, or listen when he has a go at you? It's human nature and, if he is going, he's effectively not in charge, just coaching them for the rest of the season. You'd hope professional pride would be enough but you've only got to look over the road to see the difference in performance of players from when they didn't want to play for a manager.

I remember that Pellegrini season well. It was only thanks to West fans bringing the United bus and shitting them up that we scraped top four. Pep almost came in with no CL. I think the lap of honour at the end of the reason was watched by a handful.

Exactly that's all I'm asking for to be entertained once in a while. I can't remember an entertaining performance all season, one where you can say, wow that was brilliant today

No of course they wouldn’t give a foul, the throw in gets retaken. If it’s warranted then the player that pushes the defender down gets a yellow or a red card.
