Of course we can use them as excuses because they shouldn't happen with that kind of frequency (especially against Spurs). Other teams can have an off day and still win by the odd goal (look at the rags for example) but when a team has incorrect decisions go against it in these tight games, then it makes a huge difference.

I would love us to play beautiful football every game and win comfortably so it takes the ref out of the equation. Players are tired and not quite functioning at their optimum level and so it is unlikely we can overcome the ref away at places like Liverpool and Spurs.

Having said that, we're better than them and if we play at our best, I expect us to beat them. If we don't, I hope it's because Spurs have played well and deserved it, not because they have been given a helping hand.

so you agree we aren't playing as well in the last few games.....that is why we lost....sterling finished his 3 chances vs utd....game over before the ref makes a bad call

we defend simple high balls into the box, pogba doesn't get his goal and neither does smalling.

we have been nowhere near the level required especially in the game at anfield and rightly lost.

referee errors will continue to happen, its part of the game for at least another season (no VAR in the prem league next year)......ref mistakes happen in every game and every team can point to decisions like those that you are mentioning.

Spur i think will beat us because we aren't playing at a good well enough, we have kept personnel missing (Kun and Ferna) and we look out on our legs.

I have been blessed this season to watch some of the greatest performances we have ever produced IMO.
The sooner we can put a spanner in the works of the anti city media wankfest the better. They just can’t wait to see us slip up.
Our inability to finish chances lately has been worrying. Not sure why, but I’m sure Sterling has missed at least 8 easy chances. I hope he can sort that out today. We need his pace and positioning, he just needs to get his finishing sorted and he will be deadly next season.
The main problem today will be the midfield. We need to pack it out play clever, actually take our chances because we waste so many.
Fingers crossed our lads see this as a way to comeback from the last few disasters. Keep Otamendi away from this game.

We can only rightly lose if the other teams scores more than us and the laws of the game are applied fairly. Playing poorly doesn't mean we rightly lost. If we play badly today and lose to a last minute offside goal, then in my opinion we haven't rightly lost (even though it might have been deserved).

I agree that if we have defended better, then we wouldn't have let goals in and if we had taken our chances, then we would have scored enough to win. However, that didn't happen. That doesn't mean we should lose though. Teams can play poorly and rightly win and if the rules had been adhered to in the last few games had been applied, then that may have happened

While it's true that refs make mistakes in every game, they often aren't 'serious' errors. However, it seems to me that critical mistakes (ie those affecting penalties, goals, red cards) happen against us with a much higher frequency than they go for us.

Wondering why this match is being played at 745 local time?? I have no problem with it, i just cant remember seeing a PL match being played at this time on Saturday/Sunday.

Another L would be hard to swallow. I would prefer to win the title by winning a match at home, not by West Brom beating United. Although a Vardy party/Hazard goal moment with all the players celebrating together off field would be fun to watch.

Prediction for today 1-1

I was thinking the same about kick off time. Maybe to do with the national running at 5.30?

The rags played this time on a sat recently, sky have a few slots on a sat this season, makes no sense to me,i don't know what the match goers think about it

A little surprised at the negativity about this game for us, I think we been cheated and kicked and treated unfairly, and the boys will want revenge on the next team.... I think we will win this, not comfortably, and Ferny missing is a big loss, but I cannot see us losing this.

And tbh it's one of the things that can turn this season around, a good win tonight stamps our authority again and we finish the season as we should have before the Liverpool/Utd games.

Spurs must be shitting themselves going into this match. All I've heard for the past week is "get over it, every team gets bad decisions, they even themselves out over a season". Well if that's the case, we're due 3 dodgy penalties, two offside goals and poor old Harry's going to get a worldie chalked off for sweet FA.

That's a surprise as it means they were probably awakening at 7.00 am ish this morning. Thought we'd have gone down the night before to allow everyone a lie in as they must be all exhausted after the last few weeks and a long, hard season. Can't imagine falling asleep on a train is good for posture and preparation for such a tough game. Reports are that Aguero might not be back again this season - that's a massive loss.
Exhausted ! They recently just back fbacka holliday in Dubai. Joking apart thet do look knakerd.recently

Not sure about the score later but go along with the other points. When a team is leaking goals(which we are at the moment) the first thing is stop the rot. A few tweaks here and there. If we can't win this one, don't lose it.

we have been on the end of bad decisions all season....they havent affected results cause we have played so they don't.
You can’t always expect City to have to be 20 or 30% better than another team in every game to win them.

Many teams manage to play at 1% more and get wins.

So yes, if we play out of our skin and score five then it’s harder for the ref to influence the game. But this is football and real life and sometimes that means we’d win by a single goal with correct decisions.

With Kane getting a yellow for daring to shoot at our goal a-la Bernardo Silva haha (i still don't know what he did for that yellow).
