Pep's saving Foden so he can come on and win it for us when it's 1-1 with half an hour to go, just as he has so many times this season.

Good enough line up to turn Spuds over , but why Sterling is anwhere near that team is anyone's guess , Foden , Bernardo , Merlin and Jesus all in better form , worrying that Laporte is not involved again , hopefully nothing more than a strain / niggle , a draw would not be the end of the world , the Dippers have already started their victory tour , so league games are not the priority now.

I wonder if there’s a possibility that Pep thinks that Sterling brings plenty to the team and doesn’t believe he’s been the useless **** that half of bluemoon seem to think he is?
Whilst there’s no doubts on the face of it he has hit a bit of a wall in his development over the last two seasons, maybe his pace and energy to help out defensively is what’s getting him the nod?
Do you really think Raheem has hit a wall in his development over the last 2 years? I think he has developed incredibly over the last couple of years, generally speaking. Looks more like he's hit a wall in his confidence over the last few months to me.

Imagine Sane getting selected constantly despite poor form? Not.... Sterling does get selected despite shit form, find it weird

I’d say it’s more the attitude that accompanies it, wouldn’t you??

sterling, despite looking like a midget Hesky for two months, gives his all and at least tries to execute the instructions!
