I have Frank Clark-expectation levels for this one, even though Spurs have already beaten us twice. The dismissive attitude towards the Carabao Cup both in attitude and selection signalled the start of City’s decline. We often nicked a good win at WHL late 60s, early 70s including one game when Franny Lee punched home a goal

There's not much creativity in that middle. Just shows you how far we've declined, from having too many quality midfielders to choose from to struggling to pick one midfielder that's in form.
Trouble is - because our strength was always down to the collective playing well and thinking along the same lines in terms of effort, movement and tempo, it needs all of the players to recapture their mojo for us to fire on all cylinders again.

How can anybody expect a single player to perform the way that he was before, unless at least a couple of his team-mates join in?

In bursts, I see players who are regularly cyber-lynched on here (Foden, Silva for a couple of examples) trying to start something, but finding no support from those around them.

I know that Phil in particular is having a 'mare at the moment, but what do you expect him to do - dribble around 5 players and tuck it away?

The fact that everybody seems to have lost it can only be addressed as a whole on the training ground, surely.

It would be fascinating to hear what conversations go on in training.

Wouldn’t be disappointed with that. I get the feeling Haaland is going to go on a mental run of scoring soon. Especially with Marmoush with him

Gvardiol

Nico
Gundogan/Bernardo

Savio
