OK you can't believe all the paper gossip but if true it seems that Spurs have been in for everyman and his dog in the last 12 hours (looks desperate too me)

Wondering what impact that will have on their current players - pretty much a vote of no confidence - hope it has destabilising affect

Its all a load of bullshit from twitcher. Spurs havent got much money to spend and they know if they dont get champs league footy next season then they are in the shit because of the amount of money they have spent over the years.

They can put a bid in for anyone and say oh we will offer £50m but they never end up buying players for that kind of money because they havent got it. They are trying to fool everyone else into thinking they can buy whoever they want but they know that the money isnt actually there. Just look at the Aguero deal, they had offered £38.5m but they need to pay taxes which would knock it up to around £44m but they refused to do so. If they wanted him so much they would have paid it and who would turn Aguero down? They knew all the bids they put in would be rejected or they wouldnt be able to get them signed in time. The only player he wanted to sign was Neville but left it to late because he wanted the cheapest deal possible.
