Spurs and the transfer window...

Suspect part of Spurs deals is down to a desire to make a trading profit i.e not for football reasons

Think you are onto something there mate.

He leaves it to the last minute, a la Van Der Vaart, hoping that the club will panic because Adam is allegedly creating waves and sell at a knock down price.

'Arry then gets the plaudits for getting a bargain.

This isn't the Eastender's market, you sneaky frigger.

Fair play to Blackpool for holding out.

Not sure regarding his Royal Twichiness's motives but he slowed down Liverpool's
progress ( I think Adam would of played a good number of games for Lpool) and pissed of Adam who was all set for the move.

It could be a master stroke in disrupting one of the teams challenging Spurs for fourth.

Good old Arry, when your team needs a keeper, defenders and a ball winning central midfielder you just want to sign more attacking midfielders & strikers....feeling they will end up around 8th in the league.

A mark of their ambition, or someone seriously misguided and incompetent?
Manager of a chumps league club trying to sign Phil Neville and Charlie Adam, having already bolstered his midfield having acquired the devastating weapon that is Steven Piennar.
Go figure.

Glad to see they bought no new players, think we should get at least 4th spot. 4th and a cup would be magic.

tuned into talkshite (yes i know) while driving earlier & durham was giving spurs some real stick over these phantom transfers. everybody & his dog knows they urgently need a centre half & a striker but they were apparently bidding for midfielders (adam & phil neville) as well as a joking bid for aguero that was never going to happen. it turns out their derisory bid of £1.5 million for neville was an improved offer to everton. their original bid was £250,000!

And Bassong is out for about 6 weeks yet it seems they tried to buy yet another midfielder.
