Spurs crowds

Spurs have got fantastic support,
Always sell out at home and when teams like city take the smaller away allocation, the remainder it is quickly sold out. There away following is superb. IMO there support is very similar to how ours was in the latter days of maine rd, sold out every week and a waiting list for tickets. The diference is they sell out for any game, where as when city were at maine we regularly didnt sell out.
IMO spurs have a fantastic following numbers wise.

How can they always sell out when they didn't today?

Not sure mate, but if its true it is strange and very unusual.
The OP was questioning if they could fill a 60000 stadium based on todays attendance. The thread has shown that there support on the whole is very good.

Apparently Stoke returned the lower tier allocation this morning so they had no time to sell the tickets hence all the empty seats in the away end on TV.

lots of gaps at wigan last week, unlike one of the posts stated

there were 3140 empty seats today
it was a sellout today, but most probly the empty seats were no-shows

I am not here looking for an argument, but there seems to be a mistake with today's attendance figure for the Stoke City game, I was at the game and apart from the bottom away fans tier being virtually empty WHL was indeed full.

This game was actually SOLD OUT Two months ago, virtually all of Tottenham's games are at WHL, and as somebody already stated Spurs normally if given enough notice by the away club, sell out the bottom tier if the away team has not sold out their allocation, but if the away team has started selling tickets in the bottom tier but failed to sell all of them, segregation issues would prevent Spurs from being able to sell them to their own fans.

Below is confirmation that the game was SOLD OUT, Spurs currently have over 42,000 fans on their paid for season ticket waiting list, every single League game has easily sold out at WHL this season as has been the case for many consecutive seasons before hand.

no shows count, just as they do at our place as the ticket has been sold

stop being an apologist for the spurs media shit

their attendance was below 33000
to put it in perspective, we had higher attendances in div 2

spurs mean fuckall to me, the game was a sell out, get over it

good to see so many people correcting the OP about the real situation.
Sanity that often gets buried among the giddy posts from the kids and divs that can reign on here.

with us taking less than 2k to pool on Monday etc.......as someone else has posted - I hate spurs but knocking their support has no basis whatsoever

Hate spuds, think there smarmy, cocky no marks.
Never fogave them for 81, scrapping with them as a 15 year old!!
I think were clutching at straws highlighting a lower than average attendance today.
I think that our average attendance in Div 2 wasnt 33000 - i mite be wrong though. But i certainly remember sitting at maine rd on several midweek games (kids for a quid as well) and we didnt pull 26000!!
I dont think anyone is being an apologist for spuds - just pointing out facts. 1 fact is that todays spuds attendance was lowest of season and that is strangely unusual for them. On the whole they have good support attendance wise.

and that was the point being made

i never said our average was over 33000, i said we had had higher, which is true

i couldn't give a fuck what they got but i\m sick of stupid fuckin spuds fans coming on here saying 'facts', as published, are wrong

they probably have 78 points too and beat real last tuesday, hey ho

Just watched MOD and the only empty seats were in the stoke end. Spuds sold the spare away allocation. The OPs and BBC attendance figure can only be a misprint or spuds are doing a swales!!!

all the blue seats on the bottom tier were spurs fans yeh, if you watch the goal again with crouch's header, when it shows it from a distance, you see the fans in the background in that half empty area all jump up.

Typical facist nonsensense, black is white and white is black the clown must be in PR for the labour party.
They have sold out but not sold out
Its not thier fault its the away club
42000 on a waiting list for tickets but do not seem to want to buy
Its an old saying but true applied to this post
If it reads like shit
If it smells like shit
its shit
The tossers still think they will finish in the top four
Roll on the Eastlands game
We have scored more and conceded less
More deluded than the rags

What is their sell out %? There is a site with average attendances but also the sell out %, I forget the URL though.

Wanting a new 60000 stadium .Cant sell out a 36000 capacity stadium 32000 there today.

The 22 first team matches played at the Lane so far this season have resulted in a gross attendance of 780,080 which averages-out at 35,447 per match.

This is 98.46% of our total capacity and the remaining unused seats are largely down to police restrictions for away fans and UEFA regulations, which mean the first few rows nearest to the pitch can't be used because of the greater height of advertising boards for Champions League matches.

Bit of a non story given some of the attendances at our place this season. Empty seats may count if they are held by season card holders, but my God we've had quite a few empty seats ourselves this season. The amount of people leaving the ground last week at 5-0 up was bloody ridiculous.

The waiting list for Spurs seasons tickets next season might drop a bit when they play Europa league next season. :D

But they have sold their 36k ground good. If it was 40k+....you can't be sure that they would sell out.
