Bitter fans everywhere. There have been hundreds of anti Spurs threads on here too.

If you asked a Spurs fan who would they rather finish in the top 4 out of Arsenal, Chelsea and City, who do you really think they would pick? They would choose City obviously. They hate their London neighbours
They hate everyone....just hateful bunch
Generalisng a bit. Can't really see 30,000 fans singing anti City chants every match like they do about Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham.

Their hatred is for most London clubs.

You are all deluded...

Man Utd invented the model that Chelsea and now City are using. Spend massively at the beginning, then ease off, bring players through from within or just cherry pick other teams best players (Ferdinand/Rooney) as need arises. The huge spending at the start means that each season you probably only need 1-2 players brought in. The last few years Chelsea have eased off, they are just further into the model than City - too early to judge City yet.

When Ferguson came to United where was this 'inbuilt' success that allowed him to go out and spend what look like small figures now but were huge at the time, on the likes of Pallister/Bruce/Wallace/Webb/Keane/Ince/ I could go on and on. Please don't tell me attendances paid for this, with wages etc - they'd have been nowhere near. That's why United had to go public - way before the kids turned up.

Too many United fans think Fergie started with Beckham/Scholes/Giggs etc - he didn't. A huge outlay at the beginning gave him a structure to bring these kids into. Admittedly it was an amazing crop of players coming through, but that well has long since dried up - Evans? O'Shea? Fletcher - don't think they're on a par. Nope, you need money - even Liverpool did it, cheery picking the likes of Barnes/Beardsley/Aldridge etc every summer.

And Spurs - you gotta be kidding me. Have you seen how much your first team squad cost? Only a couple of big buyhs short of City's. And what success has this been based on? Get real the lot of you.

This was just posted, not sure if it was by someone off here, but its a very sensible reasonable post

Are Spurs fans bitter....

...... think they have realised that Champions League qualification was possibly a one-off and realistically we will finish above them this season and for the next few seasons - hence why they have suddenly started crying.

dont know about you fellas but i feel that the bitterness toward City has gone up a notch in the last week or so. I think in truth that fans of all teams thought City was just a gimmick and didnt take us seriously. I have said to many fans that you will stick your heads in the sand and pretend we dont exist and then years later wonder how City became the club that is winning everthing.

I was listening to talksport the other day and they were banging on about Spurs, "they are flying" said Alan Brazil. When they went on to discuss the top 4 its like they could hardly bring themselves to say "Manchester City". Even my wife was laughing at them and she supports Arsenal. She said "City are second and they talk as though they dont exist".

Ive got a united fan on a FB forum saying the usual rag bullshit then got carried away with the rumour about the Qatar royal family buying the rags "They are worth £40 billion, that will shut you Man City fans up for good". It was one of those you couldnt make it up situations. Ive since posted to him the articles explaining the vast wealth of our owners, extended family and business interests. Thats kept him quiet. Ive never known so much concern from other fans about the managerial situation at City "get rid, hes shit, you need such and such". Plus we are just a shit team full stop apparently. To many egos, players falling out, players paid to much, overpriced, havent gelled, playing like strangers, no class, no history. Their concerns are endless.

Well thanks to fans of other teams for your concern but we are doing well being all of the above.

You only have to look at Chelsea when Roman took over. It didn't go down with anyone really.

The Chelsea forums are amusing as they are worried about Spurs' and City's form and Roman not talking up any transfers in January

What shocked me the most was this posted by a United fan on RedCafe
Firstly, Uniteds riches have not been the result of success, in fact completely the opposition. The richness United gained came from being the instigators of the premier league, manipulating their powerful position as one of the already richest clubs in the country ( when we weren't winning anything ) to force a larger stake in the pot.

Who was the first team to install a "megastore" inside their ground, a huge sparkling corporate facility whcih they then whored out to whoever would pay the most money ?

Who is it that holds more sponsors and "commercial partnerships" than any other club in the world, and almost every month you hear "blah blah.. is our new commercial partner for toilet rolls / sausage rolls / piggy banks"

The fact is they have whored off Uniteds name to anyone who is willing to pay for it. Before long there will be commercial partners for just about any household product or item you could care to buy

What does that have to do with football ? More to the point, that money they get is what is funding the players. Not the clubs winnings, not the ticket money, not the Glazers. THe fact we've sold our name to anyone who wants to use it.

You keep kidding yourself that United got where they are today because of their success. Your disillusionment has no limits.

The fact is we were ones who sold our arses to businessmen before anyone else. We are the ones who everyone else is trying to follow in terms of how to run your football team as a commercial venture. We are the club that every rich owner who invests in a football club wants their club to be like. They want their clubs ran just the way we run ours.

Thats why the arabs, Roman, Qataris' blah blah are all taking on clubs, because they have seen what can be done if you take a football club, sell its soul to the corporates and let businessmen run a club so they can make millions from it.

There is no difference between the Glazers, the Qataris, the arabs at City, Roman.. They are all one and the same, in it for profit and greed. Nothing more nothing less. For you to sit there placing us in a moral position above anyone else is just laughable, because ultimately its the greed and moneymaking thats gone on at United that attracted businessmen into football in the firstt place.

We are the biggest culprits for taking a club and selling its soul down the river all so someone can get rich....

considering it's in the main forum too and he's obviously been promoted it's unlikely he's just someone posing as a red.

They are just a one-season wonder, maybe slightly better than the blue dippers. When their owner sells players like Modric, Bale for the dough, the team will drop back to the top 6 level and without CL, players like Van Der Vaart will leave. Twitcher will look for another club as well.

I have less respect for the way Spurs, Daniel Levy, and more recently Bent 'Arry go about their business than any other club around.

So I'm not going to lose any sleep if any of their supporters don't like the way we go about our business.

That doesn't count, obviously.... ; )

Spuds fans are getting like the uber victims, the Scousers nowadays...they were expecting that they would be the next club to crash the top four, (and this season they have, but they know to well that it's very temporary and City are the real threat)

And they, like all other jealous supporters of all other clubs are hypocrites, cos if the same investment was to be put into their club they would take it like a shot...fcuk the lot of them.

Jealous..nuff said!

very much this.
