spurs have absolutly no chance of finishing above city.

City are obviously favourites to finish ahead of Spurs this season.

But to say that we have no chance is just inviting the gremlins to strike.
I think it's a bit of a stretch to say Keane and Crouch have the potential to be 20 goal strikers! Defoe yes, Pav maybe (if Arry can get over his dislike of him)

Exactly. Us more than anyone should know about tempting fate and achieving the improbable. Let's not forget, Spurs have finished 4th and 5th in the last two years, and they haven't got any weaker. If anything, they're stronger, as they are more used to each other. If Van der Vaart can connect with their strikers, then they are a threat.

Spuds should sign Darren Bent...he would score 'em 20 goals!
............oh wait........

If anything, City are a weaker team this year without Tevez. I have no doubt you will be in a scrap with us, Liverpool and Arsenal for 3rd and 4th spots

LOL

We might not, and probably won't win the league. But if we don't finish ahead of You, Liverpool, and Arsenal quite comfortably, after achieveing it last year and with a full season and pre-season together, and adding more quality then Mancini should and will be sacked.

Losing Tevez is a blow, but the fact we weem to play more fluid and as a team without him in it suggests we will be fine. We will miss his goals but not his selfish play. If Aguero, Dzeko and Balo can step up and replace his goals, which shouldn't be hard between them seeing as though they might get passed to now Tevez won't be playing, then i expect a push for the title. If not, then we shouldn't be far behind

Weaker witout Tevez? Why has he left us? Only I thought that he was still a City player.

And haven't we just signed the striker who keeps him out of the Argentinian national side. How you reckon we are weaker I do not know

Reckon you need to take you head for a wobble mate.

If you think we'll be a weaker side this year you're an absolute idiot for a number of reasons:

1. Stronger as team this year, we're becoming a unit now. The team is bonding now. Even with no improvements we'd have been stronger.
2. Silva will be playing from the start this year and he's improving constantly.
3. We've signed that Aguero bloke, have you heard? Natural replacement for Tevez.
4. We've also signed Clichy and Savic to strengthen the squad.
5. Tevez is still here yet and if we sell him we'll very likely bring in a playmaking midfielder (this is crucial actually even if Tevez is still here at the end of the transfer window) having already secured our direct replacement. I'd take Nasri definitely.
6. Expect better from both Balotelli and Dzeko this year.

Only a very severe injury crisis would stop us progressing from last year. If we don't finish as champions then we should be at least nearer the champions than 5th - as was the case last season.

Agree with all of those but I would add Yaya into the mix. It was only the last three months of last season he really started to motor. He will be immense this season. Our midfield three is fucking frightening. Such good balance.

True, I felt as though Yaya had good games throughout the entire season but I agree that it seemed to become more consistent in the latter stages. If that carries over, absolutely yes.
