Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

We're critically low on confidence. Its nothing to do with not working hard enough except maybe on the training field. But when Kevin and Grealish came on we were a different team. I am really annoyed Pep persevered with Lewis and Savinho, especially Savinho, he was a waste of a player out there.

But our confidence needs to change before the season does.

Last week, I said to my brother-in-law that while he polishes the Premier League trophy in anticipation of Liverpool's inevitable win, I’m so confident we’ll still win it that I’ll place a bet: I’ll send him a bottle of Jameson when they [Liverpool] win. But I also look forward to receiving the bottle myself when we win, come May.

Slightly regretting that now

Love this forum. Absolute wet lettuces who know nothing other than being spoilt

For the empty heads, this is football. Sometimes you go through a major slump, the same ones you all enjoy other clubs’ demise when they’re going through it.

We WILL be champions come May.

And then you can all take your faces for a massive dump an apologise.
Not a chance.

When we get walloped by 3 or 4 against the Scousers next week. That will be the final nail in our season.

In seasons gone by we were playing well and succumbed to the odd mistake. You could see the signs that we could put a run together.

You're telling me this team looks capable of a 8.9.10 game winning streak???

Not a.chance.

Transfer windows have killed us over the last few years. Signing mediocre players like Doku, Sav, Phillips, Kovacic.

And then letting players age and weirdly RE SIGNING them when they are 2 years older than when they left.

Re group and battle for top 4.

Maybe go all out for the FA cup.

No sugar coating it, we were piss poor. Too many players off it and Pep is nothing but loyal - he won’t pull off senior players who are underperforming and he won’t throw the young lads (whose energy would have helped us) into a situation where we are 3 down.

Can’t get over Walker at the end there, he has lost his physical ability to match fast wingers for pace but he shows no sign of doing something different to accommodate that decline. Sad to see.

Rico, Gundo and Savinho were really poor but they masked the fact that after (another) a really decent start Bernardo and Foden disappeared from the game in an effective manner as well.

From the lack of subs Pep is clearly trying to protect players but we need people to get up to speed and quickly.

Not bothered about the league position at the moment, just want to see us get our identity back and show signs that we are back on the right track.

Need a win on Tuesday before we go to the dippers. We also need a sign from Pep that he can change what has been 5 pretty similar performances.

Start really well, miss a few chances, concede a goal or two and fall to pieces. Maybe time for us to be more pragmatic.

The facts are simple.

This team have give us the treble and four in a row and now it has simply come to the end of its cycle.

You got heavy old legs and young inexperienced heads out there and that's a recipe for disaster. Rodri is obviously a miss but this team has maybe run it's course.

No biggie. It happens. Buy well in January, complete the rebuild in summer, start again.

The crowd tonight was fantastic, getting beat but singing their hearts out, something the two cocks on comms surprisingly didn't mention.

Going to be a rough tough year this, like someone else alluded to, top 4 will be a great season.
Agree on all fronts.

The fans were absolutely superb, that rendition at full time reminded me of that Carlo Nash game when arsenal battered us at Maine Road.

Glad we’ve still got old school Blues
