If the players know something, then the whole world would do so. It would be everywhere
 
Just watched MOTD so called highlights for a recap after being there today. What the highlights did show was inept defending and Haaland wasting chances.
What the live match showed though was something a whole lot more concerning.
No leaders
No game control
Midfield getting walked through
Useless press
No pattern of play
Every man back on corners?
Rico out of his depth
Walker finished
Bernado Finished
Stones Finished
Gundogan Finished
Savinho not good enough (ditto Doku)
Haaland missing chances and the ONLY threat
Awful subs (3 should have been on at HT)
Foden?
Peps insistence to play the same brand with a team that can’t anymore
Youth kicking their heals on the bench (couldn’t do worse)
If ever we should have been up for a game, it was today with Peps extension, Rodri Balon Dor and players well rested.
Absolute mess
Really can’t see how this changes around with the players we have.

It took us 7+ hours to drive there today. It usually takes 4/4.5hrs. With 4 kids. As we do every home game (to be fair, kids don’t do weekdays, though I do). My boys are 15 and 12 and had to push the car a couple of times in the borders as the snow hit and the A702 was hit with the blizzard. It probably wasn’t good parenting to put us all at risk to be honest, the roads were lethal.

We’re now at Carlisle on the way back, if the roads are halfway decent it’s another couple of hours out to East Lothian.

But that was dogshit. Utter dogshit.

Like I said in my other post, I’ve barely missed a home game in 40 years. I was there at Lincoln when we let in 4. And Anfield for both games when we let in 10 in the space of 5 days. But tonight was dogshit.

What annoys me is the players we had our tonight have won everything. I’m not hacked off at Craig Russell, Ged Brannan, Martyn Margetson or (showing my age) Gary Fleming. They’d not won a thing, they had nothing to prove, they did their best.

Tonight, I didn’t feel that team did their best and that’s unforgivable.

Anyway, rant over. Back to the M6 and M74 and getting home wired from the coffee whilst the players have been asleep for hours and I carry an 8 year old to her bed.

Melodramatic I know and I’ll be there midweek as always but I’m royally f*cked off tonight, more than I should be.

You have my utmost respect for all the travelling you do to follow City. If anyone deserves to voice their opinion about today it is you. I doff my cap to you sir.
 
You know we've had a bad day at the office when Pep's interview sentences start in English and end in Spanish.
 
yes you might wonder if Bernardo, Grealish, Doku, Savinho 4 of them will score and assist together in PL what Palmer, Saka or Salah will.
Current stats look horrible but put that down to missed game time/injuries/bad form.
Grealish+Bernardo+Savinho+Doku = 1 goal + 7 assists
Palmer:7+5
Saka: 3+7
Salah:8+6

you could say Palmer aint a winger but then Foden+ KDB numbers so far in PL combined: 1 goal+2 assists, thats about a better match for Palmer these days...

not saying Grealish individually would have to keep up with above rival players or Doku because they never will imo, but together the 4 wingers combined cannot do it thats an issue big time. I would love a season from Grealish when he does 8 goals and 6 assists over a PL season Salah done until November.

I do think we need to sign a high scoring winger soon, someone in that ilk of Saka, Salah, Hazard, who can add 15/20 goals over a season and many assists on top. wont be easy as these type of wingers are quite rare. dont know if Leao, Niko Williams is this category, but something needs to change as the current input from wingers is laughable.

we need lots G+A in December really hard games (Liverpool, Villa, Palace, Juventus all away from home), this fixture is harder imo than Sporting away, Spurs home, Brighton away and we lost all these too.
