Donnaruma is dreadful playing out with his feet. He is not what we need. We need a younger Ederson but from where?Cue some over reactions on this thread. The only thing for me that was really bad was all about fitness - Spurs looked so much sharper and fitter and we gave them very few problems as a result. The start was good and if Omar had a better day finishing wise a goal lead would have changed a lot.
It's early and lots to work on but similar issues with poor fullbacks Rico and Ake had very poor games in my opinion and our 2 central midfielders played way too deep giving them plenty of space. Feel sorry for Trafford it seemed a lot were willing him to f**k up with his passing out and that manifested. He will need to show a lot of character now and perhaps Donnaruma may be closer than ever...
Always a cup final for Spurs but boy do we need to up our work & intensity - this is not pre season and other teams seem faster.
Few good glimpses but we have to be much stronger mentally - as soon as Rayan went off injured we panicked and went to slow, slow build up play again.
Not puzzling, simply an extension of the last 18 months of decision making.I’m fucking puzzled with Pep today. The first time in the game we had a period of sustained attacks was the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half. I wouldn’t say Spurs were on the ropes but they were on the back foot. Cherki, Bobb and Lewis were linking well and causing problems. But Cherki was the one pulling the strings. I appreciate he also lost possession sometimes trying things. But he takes the only creative player on the day off and also takes the only other consistent goalscorer apart from Haaland off and brings on Unc Bernardo and Doku who have very little end product on and we spent the next 30 minutes chasing spurs round like a bunch of c*nts.
I get making changes if you’re not playing well or later in the game but it was the first time we looked like a consistent threat. Said it at the time and it proved that way given we got so much better worse after the change. Fucking bizarre.
I've got a spare scarf and top I can sell youBack to supporting the dippers for me if it carries on like this.
They won't.36 games to go and it's fucking Spurs.
They'll go back to being shit next week.
Was our only decent player when he came on like.Foden buzzing on the bench fucked me off as well.
Caught pissing himself twice on camera.
Maybe, just maybe, he is not our manger anymore, but nobody has balls to tell him that yet. He is going to end up like Milton in some of Etihad's dark subterranean corners.I know who we bought but I don’t know whether Pep actually wanted any of them. He put all the toys on today …
Trafford did nothing wrong? Excuse me but did you see him get away with a totally deserving red card, a goal he gave away, and the plenty of times he shat himself when passing out the back?
Doku needs to work on his touch, constantly just booting the ball ahead of himself for the ball to run out, and when he does keep hold of it his final ball is shockingThought Gonzales and Dias were particularly poor.
Not really sure why we’ve rewarded 2 subpar years from Dias with a new contract?
Ait-Nouri going off ruined the whole balance of the team, which is mad to say.
Rodri isn’t sharp at all. I thought Bobb was poor today. Marmoush off for Doku was an awful sub in hindsight.
Foden made a huge difference, praying he stays fit. Was hobbling around at one of their corners.
