Spurs (H) Post Match Thread

Hope Pep says something about protection from referees. Two possible season ending tackles there from Kane and that twat Dele Alli

He didn't. Something about us being lucky on both occasions, I think. Neither did Kevin regarding the Dele Alli "tackle", if I'm not mistaken. There is a thing called decency, and this behaviour is clearly indicative of the club's coulture, City fans should feel proud. Not just because of the quality of the football...

Guardiola will not betray his principles. An open question for people how much this attitude is appreciated. An an open question for the FA, how much the ref's performance tonight was influenced by Mourinho's recent comments, for example. An absolute disgrace of a man. But pretty effective, wouldn't you agree? A complete asshole consistently damaging the integrity of the PL. Yet consistently tolerated by the media as well as the authorities throughout his career. Incredible...

I actually didn't see either of the two 'reds', Alli or Kane. I did see our players down, but didn't really see how bad the tackles were. So, blue specs off everyone, were they definite reds?
The Ali one was. Vile and cowardly.

reading redcafe and that shite spurs one posted earlier in this thread, its night and day. United fans actually appreciate how good we are. Spurs are all about the oil money...pathetic.

Kane’s was accidental, but a shocker, and should have been red.

Alli’s was also a shocker and he’s a snide cnut to boot. Red.

Camel gob (and Frankie Lampard) appeared to agree and I’m not sure Wio had blue tinted specs on.

I know we're seeing history here each and every week but i don't think the majority will truly appreciate it until 5/10 years down the line. That genuinely could and perhaps should have been about 8 which makes what i'm going to say next completely ridiculous, we barely got out of 2nd gear today.

Ederson was class when he needed to be, a handful of excellent saves and somehow his passing is getting even better, that one pass out to the right wing second half was something KDB would be proud of. Felt for him missing out on the clean sheet as him and the defence deserved it.

In defence, Otamendi had a few brain farts again but has really stepped up as the senior figure at the back since Stones got injured. Walker was excellent, seemed to be keen to show Spurs just what they are missing. Mangala was immense and deserves huge credit again, completely shackled Kane, looked composed, covered brilliantly and his passing was decent. Delph too continues to astound, based on that, you'd say he was the £50 million rated left back and Rose was the midfielder playing out of position.\\\

In midfielder Fernandinho controls to run games, he had an 8 or 9/10 game yet there's not much to say about him other than he was his typical self which is a testament to his consistency. Was a big game for Gundogan who really needed to impose himself on the game and i'm delighted he stepped up. Still more to come from him which will probably come from more frequent game time but it was miles better than recent games for him. Excellent header too. KDB i could write an essay on the man but instead i don't think i need to say anything, we all saw how brilliant he was. Ran the show and nobody could get near him.

Upfront Aguero did reasonably well, looked lively, was on his weaker foot granted but probably should have scored in the first half but it was a beautiful first touch to set himself up for it. Sterling scored two but should have had 4 or 5 for himself, poor finishing and wasn't involved as much as he has been of late but was a constant threat and the Spurs defence knew it and he still scored a brace. Sane i thought was our most dangerous player, had Trippier on toast from the first minute, he was superb throughout but i felt we should have utilised his pace more by isolating him and Trippier and let Sane run at him more.

Masterslass display with arguably four of our best players when fit out of the side.

Bring on Leicester.

When you are playing this well you want the next match to come around as quickly as possible.

Hard to know what superlatives are left to write about this side.

Big shout out to Mangala today who was excellent and Sane looked consistently dangerous throughout. But once again its hard not to focus on KDBs performance once again. We have seen some great players these past few years but I think you are talking about a top five player in the world. The guy can do literally everything and seems to have the desire and hunger to push himself even further. Going to be a joy to watch him over the next few years and a player who could be judged alongside the very best.

I hope they played a bit of Chas and Dave after that win to rub it in even more!

Great stuff this. Brilliant. This week was tough on paper. In reality it was anything but.

The teamwork, spirit and quality on show from all is something to behold.

I couldn't go today after a midweek op but this week has cheered me up no end!

Brilliant
Benny Hill would be more appropriate, hahahahaha

I have to say I have been on various other fan forums around the times when we play them and ragcafe is nowhere near the worst one in terms of bitterness towards us. That Spurs cock one has been the most vitriolic by far though. Got to say that an Internet forum only represents a tiny minority of that clubs fan base . I am not sure I would like other fans view of us to based upon the posts made on blue moon :-)

You can tell on the caf how global their fan base is. Some of their lot have never set foot near a game. The more hardened rags can't stand the city love in we get from them! Some are probably wavering and will be posting on here soon!!

reading on twitte how the openet fans are getting upset with there team, blaming there players for beein to slow or not able to preform...so on, so on.
how can they see that there team is good, ans they are trying, is just City is a team way above every other team in EPL and probably Europ! no mater how god they think there is, City is better. as of today, the only team that can beat Us is City [emoji4].
we will lose a game probaly, and will be a day when we play our B-team and 3 youngsters (like last game UCL group) and the opponent team have a “perfect” day :)

Mangala is a good shout; he gets dogs abuse usually so fair play to him for having a great game

Great performance, good atmosphere, really enjoyed that. De Bruyne's performance was almost off the scale. One of his best ever for City. He was everywhere. Ederson is a magician - his range of passing a delight to watch. Walker was understandably fired up and was excellent throughout. Sane back to his best - took Trippier apart. Very astute of Pep to hook Sergio and put Jesus on - his energy and closing down were phenomenal. He stopped the supply line to Dembele. Shame about the penalty. Gundogan's passing second half was so perfectly weighted. Mangala was really solid - Ota flapped a few times but Mangala was covering well behind him. Oh and the crowd were great tonight. Loud and proud. Great night. 16 on the spin - simply awesome.
