I'm dreading this game and I really/desperately want our lot to prove me wrong.
My heart wants 3-0 to us, but my head is screaming 1-3 To the yids.
We can play like the big underdogs we really are. Monstrously good performance by Joe for Torino the other day.

Spuds will come full of confidence and will play on the front foot . with their full backs playing as wingers and a high back line , which will leave them wide open to counter attacks which is an ideal opponent for our players. The last team that came ultra confident and played a similar game was Barca and we battered them , and Spuds are no Barca , Pochetino and the Spuds team are starting to believe their own press cuttings and there will be no doubt the pre-match talk will be dominated by how good Spuds and Pochetino are how shite Pep and City are .time to shut the f*ckers up.

It's taking longer and longer these days for us Blues to recover after a defeat and gain confidence back in the team.

I'm getting there now, 3-1 win

Not sure why most fell low on confidence against Spuds while I look at Monaco thread where confidence is high. Monaco beat
If we win 8-0, we'll go above them on goal difference.

Happy days
That is asking too much. Be realistic we win 6-0.

Stones is arguably the worst CB at the club. I'd love to hear the arguments for including him in the team over any of Otamendi, Kolarov, Sagna or Kompany.
I seem to recall more errors and instances of rashness from ottamendi than stones

And Stones at least would be expected to improve. He was about 21 when making errors for Everton or joining the top team in England as a first choice central defender for club and country.

That's the same age as when Pique was manure reserve, Terry and Sol Campbell were just about to break into the England team while playing for teams that were strictly speaking not even top-4 and Rio ferdinand was just about to move from West ham.

Big headline on the MUEN City web page "Big Boost for City ahead of Spurs game"

One of their defenders s injured !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here I was thinking that Vinny would be starting and Jesus making his debut.

Sane and Raheem both inverted winger. Can't see us winning against Spurs with this line up. Navas must start if we play 3 at the back
I just want to see KDB played centrally again instead of being shifted out wide for Gundogan or Silva.

I think Kun is at his best playing with a strike partner whether it's Tevez, Dzeko or Negredo he goes up another level paired with another player. One dimensional & easier to slow down without one. That's why Gabriel is a must for me.

Sane/Raheem at wingback is a massive gamble but it would help pin their fullbacks (Walker/Rose) & Clichy/Zaba have been a disaster anyway. You're probably right about Navas playing instead though.

He has potential but that's all he is at the moment. Our defensive record with him starting this season has been a complete & utter disaster. Think other players deserve a chance at this point.

Why do you even bother watching city? All you post is negativity about everyone who plays for us.
Be honest, what's there to be positive about at the moment?

I'm ready to move on from the old guard & eager to see the likes of Sane, Gabriel be given their chances instead of persisting with Silva/Kun.

You do know we're only two points off second don't you ?

Its actually 3 plus a big goal difference so effectively 4 but we get your gist.

On the flip side we are 2 points ahead of 6th which is where we will be if don't win on Saturday.

If you look at our last 15 games we are 7-3-5 which is potentially a one point better return for nearly half a season than Everton over the same period should results go the way they are expected to this weekend.

All the signs unless we get much better at keeping clean sheets and maybe get a boost that we don't expect in January bringing in a key defender and another striker which we are badly in need of is that we will finish 6th this year which given how we recruited over the summer , the continued reliance on Kun , Yaya and Silva and the fact we don't have Joe in goals ( although he would struggle to do much better albeit a better shot stopper than Bravo ) and that Sterling and KDB don't score as many goals as they should 6th is about where we should be and deserve to be.

I do tend to be a glass half full type of person and I wasn't expecting to much this season, I'd love the styal of play/tempo to improve though, at the end of the day I go for entertainment as much as results

To be honest, things for me have gotten worse since Sunday (sometimes I do get over it!). I've not felt this 'sick' about a City situation since Billy MacNeil outsted Bobby Mac before a ball had even been kicked in Division One, Mel Machin decided to oust Paul Moulden (especially for the Stoke Away Xmas game which turned into an utter humiliation), Peter Reid decided to oust Colin Hendry (unforgiveable) - I'll never forget the Spurs FA Cup omnishambles, Joe Royle ousted Kinkladze and Kevin Keegan decided to have a pathetic spat with Eyal Berkovic. These are all examples where 'gaffer knows best' did not turn out to actually mean that 'gaffer knows best' - not by a long chalk. For me everyone of those decisions was regrettable both when they occurred and as things subsequently turned out, and now when I think about Joe Hart going out for Claudio Bravo coming in at a staggering £14M I'm thinking its a trousers down situation for the club. I mean WTF.

Accordingly, my rattle has now gone out of the pram, and my blanket will follow next if Guardiola picks Bravo for the Spurs game: I mean how bad a goalkeeper actually be before being dropped? I would normally look forward to a game of this magnitude but after the 4-in-4 Bravo fiasco on Sunday (which is not so long since the Leicester and Chelsea games) - I think it is simply not good enough to be crossing my fingers and hoping for the best: I'd rather play with a fly-keeper (Vinny) now that the Bravo flush has been well and truly busted. Sorry to be doom and gloom but Sunday is getting worse the more I think about it......
You'll be all right once your balls drop. Ffs

Been some sporadic play that would please you but results are what matter and we are not getting them to the degree anybody would like.

In general the worse the scoreline during a game the more we go into our shells and the worse the performance from an entertainment point of view.

Things will get better once we bring in the right kind of players that can entertain and win which is what we all want.
