Were there three? I only remember two , one blatant and miles off side the other off side but probably a bit more difficult to get right.
Walker miles off for their equaliser, Kane off for his goal by an inch and one of the centre halves well off and interfering with play for the goal they scored from the free kick.

Fair enough I'd forgotten one of them , we were rank in the second half from memory after playing pretty well in the first.

PEP: @VincentKompany is much better. He has a little problem. I don’t know if tomorrow he will be fit but hopefully in the next days he will be ready.

PEP: John Stones is much, much better. I think he’s at week four and the doctor said between four and six. One or two weeks, he will be ready.

As an aside - how does one repair a hamstring? - If it is torn can it be 'stitched' - if it is pulled , rest it for 6 weeks. Then you need to get back up to match fitness. So Stonesy could be February before he is back ?.
My knowledge of hamstrings is a bit fkaky . . . . . Lol

I think we'd been demoralised by the most corrupt officiating seen since Riley retired. Spurs quite literally got away with everything that day and got awarded everything too.

Most pulls are minor tears, nearly all tears heal without surgery, in the case of the muscle tearing away from the bone they won't stitch it, they'll use muscle from elsewhere in the body I think. I know for knee injuries the replacement tissue usually comes from your hamstring or arse.

I think it depends on whether the hamstring is torn and they grade it so the higher the number the worse it is,john said on sky last week that it looks like after the holidays he'll be back,we are doing ok so he won't be rushed

I thought Tottenham would be serious contenders for the title this season and with a still-young team, if it stays together, and a new stadium next year they might be more so. I fancy a repeat of the 5-2 or 4-1 tomorrow, though. Some of you older folks might remember Spurs themselves scoring lots of goals, back in the Blanchflower & Mackay days they beat Everton 10-4 and beat Crewe 13-2 in the Cup. One of my old football annuals says that going home the Crewe team left Euston from platform 13 and arrived at Crewe station at platform 2.

You sound like my era. Is you user name linked to Bobby Johstone ? - one of my early favourite players -
first player to score in consecutive finals - 1955 & 1956.

Hamstring tears in the muscle itself tend to heal themselves in anywhere between 3-6 weeks depending on severity.
Those where the tendon pulls off the pelvis need surgery to reattach the muscle to the bone. Fortunately these are rare but can be devastating.

Think tommorow is going to go down in history. Just a feeling but a December game in the dark under the floodlights.

Hope so! We owe this big time for a lot of defeats back the day. Horrid gobshite fans and never like them.

Behind the rags, scousers and then it’s these boys for me.

Come on city 8-2!

Seconded

There were three, but one was ours, iirc De Bruyne was just offside for our opening goal. Then the Walker one and Kane. I'm fairly sure Pellegrini complained like fuck that Spurs had two terrible decisions on goals. We were screwed in that game.

They will threaten City's goal with Kane of course, Ali sneaking in behind the defenders, and that Son is clever. But City are better and I fancy a big win. Like others I was at Wembley for the replay in '81 and want to beat this lot every time for that. Don't want "an exciting 4-3 or 5-4" as some have said, I want an exciting 6-0, smash them.
He who laughs last laughs longest.
All those teams who laughed at us in the past - they're not laughing now!!

Just thought I’d check and ...
57 years since they won the league
27 years since they won the F.A. Cup
I thought we’d waited a long time

Can't stand Tottenham. Everything from the arrogant fans to the pretentious crap written on the walls at their stadium (which they've knocked down to replace with one that's slightly bigger but otherwise pretty much the same) to the luck they keep getting against us. Hope we smash them.

Slightly off-topic, but not only is Pep an incredible coach, but from the outside an amazing guy as well - an absolute leader that the team will run through brick walls for. OTT ? No guarantee of a win - but Spurs, like every other team, cannot outplay us.

I don't think Alli's having a great season - no reason to be complacent though. Son, Eriksen and Kane (obviously) will present the greatest threat. I hope Spurs have a go, as that will suit us. They're not really a 'park the Manure bus' sort of team.

I won't.

What use is 1 point? Barely worth having and ends our winning run. If we can get it up to say 20 consecutive wins, it will probably stand for another 100 years and be talked about much as the invincibles are talked about now. 3 points and the 16th victory are worth a lot. 1 point? I'd rather lose going balls out for the win.
I've been predicting 1-1 for every game since after the Everton game. I'm sticking with it until we break. Not that I'm superstitious or anything.

Lloris, although a good keeper, has made numerous errors against us - always good for a clearance that fails to get off the ground. On the subject of keepers, is there a worse keeper with the ball at his feet than Butland ? Sorry, off-topic again.

He's had a quite frankly woeful season and a poor last 18 months. Seems to get away with it though because he's English and "Englands best hope" Curiously gets away with it fot the national team too, his place is guaranteed despite him doing nothing for England for a very long time. i know he's still very young but he wouldn't be getting this much leeway if he was foreign. His problem is he's a great goal scorer but not actually a great player and isn't really involved much in games so if he isn't contributing with goals or assists he's fairly useless.
