So much for spurs resting people....same front 3 and nearly the same team

Just goes to show that all mangers spout bullshit at their pressers and constantly use the same soundbites about maybe having to prioritise CL etc etc......

This won't be an easy game and not playing dinho is a bad move...we were wide open at times as Gundogan offers very little protection for our back four. ....especially with Fodden in there id like to have seen a better defensive player in their with him....Silva may not be firing on all cylinders at present but he has the defensive guile to win free kicks et when it's needed...Fodden is a bit too "green" in that respect at present....though his drive going forward could cause them huge problems.

Defensively Foden, Gundogan, KDB is much better than the Silva, Gundgoan, KDB midfield we had on the game we won on Wednesday. Foden's work rate and energy are much higher than 33 year old merlin.

Err, Spurs have FIVE changes! And who is this Fodden character?

5 changes for Spurs from midweek.

Maybe Sane is trying to be too big for his boots and Pep is trying to bring him down a peg or two.
Who knows, maybe it’s nothing and he wants him to come on later and rip it up.
I’m quite glad we don’t know the real reason, it shows how tight lipped we can be.
Not going to work though. Sane is as big as his boots. Everyone knows this. Every fan of every team I've ever talked to always have Sane as the #1 guy they want on our team.

There is no knocking him.down a peg. Now if it's simply that he can't beat out Silva and Bernado, then I'm cool with it. But if this is some Progress lesson, then it's misplaced.

Good news Sane on the bench again ( would that not be what Spuds left and right back are thinking ) i dont care if he has dared to upset anyone its what he can do for us on the pitch that matters

Every other match thread this season has been;

"Trust Pep, ffs"
"Pep's picking the best team he believes will win the game"
"Give your fanny a wipe"

Etc, etc...

Yet the moment Sané doesn't start all that goes out the window and Pep's an idiot. Strange.
Well he had one bad week last season and it kinda feels the same so far
It's like rehearsing something during 7 months and doing it differently when it really matters, very frustrating.
