Spurs (H) | Pre-Match Thread

I feel like we always used to be shit against Spurs until about 10 years ago, then had a good run against them, but the past 2-3 years have started struggling again with the aid of some really shit luck. Which is a shame because I really fucking hate Spurs.

I have a feeling that Pep might tweak his tactics a bit for this one and bring a proper striker back into the side, I think we'll see

But, I'm probably wrong and we'll see Mahrez in for Gabby. Either way I think we'll have more than enough for them. Can't wait to see Mourinho stick 10 men behind the bus despite them having some actual quality in the side.

Another freezing cold day, but I feel warm in the knowledge at tea time once again our boys are going to enthrall the nation with our beautiful football.
You can be sure Jose the Antichrist of football will do all he can to ruin the spectacle. putting a wall of white shirts up as a barrier to block every City attack is so predictable. Mourinho is fast turning into a ultra boring negative manager. Imagine him running our club. It doesn’t bare thinking about.
Aguero should be on the subs bench. He may be raring to go having missed half a season especially as it may be his last at our great club. He will want to go out with a bang or to maybe extend his contract to play with his best buddy Messi next season.
With the potential of a grand slam of trophies on the horizon, this could turn into our most exciting season. To come back from nowhere in the league to where we are now is amazing.

i always feel Walker's head goes when he plays against Spuds, thinks he has something to prove to them. Not a bad motivation at all but he can't control it

Stones had a go at defensive mid. He was chasing shadows. Think it was in the league Cup at Oxford and there might have been another occasion?

Feeling quite confident on this one. Fancying a 2-0 win against one of the finest displays of negative bus parking you've ever seen.

Around October/November I had these as an outside bet for the title. This is why I always say, please ignore my views on football - 40+ years of following it have taught me nothing! Mourinho knows the league and in theory Kane, Son and Bale should probably be the best strikers in the league. Of course, it didn't work out and their season is coming apart. Bale is still on the golf course and their squad isn't that great. Shocking to see how a player of his ability can just lose it. His career is over and should have been far better. Even though I think he is a weasel, Dele Alli has continued to get worse and you look at their team and it's not a patch on the one Pochettino left.

When Pochettino was rumoured to be coming if Pep didn't renew, it should now show you how much Spurs overachieved when he was in charge. A CL final, title challengers - they look miles off the pace now. He did a great job. I do rate Mourinho as a manager but he's struggling and will be sacked soon.

Pochettino is the Argentinian Sean Dyche. Same football with better quality players

I can't believe it's 6 years since Mourinho won a league title, and he's won 2 in the last 11 years.

Listening to Pep's press conference the way he talked about the role of defensive mid I think there's more chance of Bernardo playing there than Stones.
